[Quote] Money doesn't buy happiness… but if you're already happy, it makes it a lot more enjoyable. Don't invest your skills or time in the service industry. You will never become rich or wealthy by doing a day job. You will never be wealthy on salary. Become interested in products—products that add value to everyday life. Work your ass off and surround yourself with people who are better than you. Be opportunistic. Recognize potential. Trust your gut.

Steroids are always frowned upon by a certain community. It's bodybuilding.com, where they will do anything to compete at a professional level. It is physically impossible to even compete at the pro level without taking steroids. Fact.

[Quote] Focus on technique. Hands at sides, don't flare your elbows out. Do wide, regular, and triangle pushups. Sets and reps should include, 15, 12, 10.

[Quote] In the traditional salary sense, Tim isn't eating better than anyone else. Steve's salary was $1 throughout most of his career. On the other hand, his stock options were through the roof. I'm assuming that Tim's salary is somewhat similar to Steve's, although his raise and promotion of stock options would surely explode. Either way, both of those dudes are doing just fine.

[Quote] This is stupid. They were all in character for That 70's Show. Ashton and Mila were modeling far before the show even aired. If anything, they were much better looking in their normal state back then.

[Quote] This is the problem right here. Google definitely houses one of the smarter collectives of talented creative engineers in the world. If you think about the amount of products that Google needs to build and support, the number is mind blowing. That being said, Google is founded by engineers, and is an engineer driven company. It will, and always has been, a utility. While the campus is fun, and the pay is great (we're talking entry level design positions in the 100,000+ range), the culture isn't for everyone. At the end of the day, it's a large corporation, with staggered hierarchy that you'd find working for any other large mogul. The logistics to do anything are complicated, the layers of miscommunication are common, and the ladder to climb to the top is a life commitment. If that's for you, then go for it.

So much inaccurate information in this thread. (I realize I'm not making things better, just had to let those know who are taking these posts seriously.)

NYC is diverse enough to accomodate any individual. I don't understand why people come into this thread to complain about one of the greatest cities on earth. Nobody is forcing you to live in any borough. If you prefer one over the other, move there, and make the most of it.

All the replies in this thread are bullshit. I wouldn't suggest going to an art institute as in AI, but a private art school? Hell yeah. Parsons, Pratt, SVA, SCAD, RISD, etc. I just graduated, and was offered a hefty salary to work and live in Manhattan. Do what you love. Work hard, and success will automatically follow.
