I'm voting trump

[Quote] It depends on what state you live in. Some states run open primaries, others closed primaries. A quick Google search will tell you which states do which. As for me, I won't be voting in any primaries, but I will be casting my ballot for a write-in. I can't decide whether I want to vote for "Deadpool" or "John Wick." Probably the latter.

Do employers around the globe give a fuck about how old you are ? Vol. International students

I've faced similar self-consciousness and worrying about age at graduation from both the perspective of being "behind" in life compared to peers and from a "getting hired" type perspective. I came to the conclusion that it really doesn't matter. I'm not convinced your prospects are impacted at all. I'm your age and I won't even have my undergraduate degree this year. I won't have it next year either. I talked to a man a bit ago who was 49 and just received his BA. My mother didn't even get her AA until she was 47. That's the only degree she has and she makes more than anyone in my family. My older sister got her Master's at 27 and it was considered normal. She's actually enrolled in a PhD program now and is on track to make six figures. I found out recently that Sam Harris didn't complete his BA until he was 33. He then went on to get a PhD in fucking neuroscience when he was 42. I know people 24 years old fresh out of the military taking their first college courses at a community college, presumably to get an undergraduate degree at an age older than 27. So....no. I don't think 27 is too old. I would be stoked to have a graduate degree at that age.

So I'm sitting in my philosophy class...

[Quote]Sounds like an inefficient way to solve anything technical. Look, I'm not trying to incite anything. It just seems a bit insincere to earn a degree that one will boast about later, but will have earned it with required coursework that they slept through. I don't care though, everyone does it, and I was just cosigning on someone else's post about the value of philosophy.

DAN BILZERIAN vol. is it real life?

[Quote]Last sentence is the truest. I've never believed this guy got filthy rich from poker...because he didn't. I assume his wealth really has something to do with some questionable activity between him and his piece of shit dad...you know, that guy who made a killing from corporate takeovers and was later convicted of securities violations.

Selling your old shit on Ebay?

[Quote]It's all good, man. I wasn't trying to disagree with you, although when I reread my post it sounds like that's exactly what I was trying to do. I agree, take decent photos of whatever you're selling. I just had an anecdote of how even shitty photos worked better than stock photos. I imagine taking even better pictures could only have helped.

Selling your old shit on Ebay?

[Quote]Shipping internationally isn't terribly risky. For me at least, though, shipping internationally for the first time was the most confusing shipping experience I had. Doing it once made me less concerned about doing it in the future. Just know (a) the protocols are a bit different, and (b) it's really not that hard. Also, shipping internationally obviously costs more, so unless you're raping a buyer on price and just feel guilty about it, don't offer free shipping on international orders when you do offer it. You can still give them a deal, though. If I sent something small that costs $6 to send to Maine (for example) AND it was an item listed with free domestic shipping, I'd simply go ahead and deduct $6 from the ~$33 it costs to ship when sending to, say, Japan.
