It's super easy to drink. Last night I slammed a pint in two chugs. Good shit if you like cinnamon flavoring.

Damn that's pretty good. Just had an interview today for an electrical company that only installs solar panels. They said to expect a call Monday or Tuesday. Starting pay is only $20/hr but it's better than being laid off in the union half the year.

Shit, my roommate is a civil engineer for the Mass DOT. The pay isn't as good as his engineering buddies who work for private companies, but homie's job is cake and his bennies are ridiculous. He's either sitting in his truck on the side of the road or at the office watching movies on Netflix. I've been trying to get a state job in my trade for years now.

Be a little weary about joining a trade union like me. It sounds good in theory and often times it is great. Top pay for your field, pension, health insurance, free schooling, etc. However, when the work has dried up in that area, it is HORRIBLE. I've been laid off from my union low-voltage telecommunications job since last June. My unemployment ran out a few months ago and there is no work coming up until September. I'm having a hard time finding a side job to keep my occupied until I go back to work because no one wants to hire someone that will have to quit the day they get a call from their union hall to back to work. I do love what I do and I've been trying to switch over to the inside wireman program of the IBEW. Which means another 5 years of schooling for me, but they work a lot more than us telecom guys, around here at least. A bigger city like Boston and New York generally don't have the same issues. One thing I can saw is that you probably don't want to join the Laborers Union. They are some of the most friendly guys I've worked around, but their jobs suck. They are in charge of carrying 100lb sheet-rock slabs up floors, taking trash down the same floors and doing all the bitch work like shoveling trash and debris. They work their asses off. The most lucrative union trade to get into would be the elevator builder's union. They make a lot of money, but the test is damn near impossible to pass, unless you know a lot about hydraulic systems. Next would be the electrician's union, the pipe-fitters union and then the carpenter's union, in terms of pay. The plus side to the 3 of those are that you can do a lot of side-work on the weekends or during your laid off time. I know electricians who make an extra $50k+ a year just doing side-work for people on the weekends. There are a lot of other trades unions out that I'm forgetting, one because the insulators union. All these dudes do is basically wrap insulation around piping the pipefitters install. Easy job, but super itchy. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

Scrap metal. Pick up any electronics you see on the side of the road, take the power cords and anything inside with copper in it. Shit, old Pentium Pro CPUs have about a gram of gold in them.
