Hey everyone, My girlfriend's little brother is turning into a legit photographer, and I want to encourage him with an inspiring present this Christmas. But, I don't know much about photography besides the few books, etc. that float across the screen here at Hypebeast. So, I was hoping that you guys knew of a book or magazine, not necessarily a how-to, that will inspire him to keep pushing in that direction. It could even just be a collection of a certain amazing photographer's photos. I'd like to keep it under $50. I know it's a tough task, but any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Three is less formal than 2, and if they keep making them, people will wear them.

oh well, the 1/4inch thing is super tough to achieve. I had mine done at Nordstroms when I bought it and it still didn't quite get there. But, I'm too lazy to do it again...

You would, and you'd be wrong. He posted in another thread that it's a "Tom Ford" and that he "spent stacks on it". Remember the humble hint: "it's up there"...good guess, though. Def looks like it could be BB.

Tom Ford?

I'm impressed? Looks like your sleeve is violating the 1/4 inch rule...

def a nice suit. probably a little dressy for business casual with the pocket square. that'd be good for a dinner party/event. But, you can always get away with being more dressy better than you can underdressing.

jeans = casual fridays business casual is usually: slacks button down/polo (depending on weather) belt dress shoes (oxfords or loafers) Occasionaly, more-conservative companies (typically medical or banking industries) will want you to wear a tie with your button-down, and possibly a jacket as well. So, roll up a tie in your pocket just in case (don't fold it up or it will crease). A blazer in the wintertime isn't a bad idea bc if they don't wear suits, then you'll look like you were just trying to keep warm rather than overdress. Chucks, vans, vivisms, etc are bad for a first impression, but you know the company culture better than we do so tassle away... Good luck.

good luck trying to go bus casual with mocasins and tassles...your feet will look like a native american stripper...

Yeah, agreed on that suit needing to be brought in a bit in the torso and probably soe new pants. It's a little baggy all-around. I've got a hugo boss (Nordstrom's anniversary sale for $500) with a pink twill facconable shirt $115 (had to have it tailored bc that brand is made for old people $20) and a Ted Baker tie $85. Unfortunately, this creepy-looking pic is the only one that I have of it that I can link to (I don't want to bother posting a better one somewhere), so enjoy at my expense. I also got some nice pink and red argyle socks with brown kenneth cole shoes and belt (yeah, i took a picture of them). These are from a work Christmas party, and I work in consulting so I stood out a bit in this get-up. Oh well, let 'em hate... [URL]

hip hop police is OKAY...I'd never give it the time of day if it weren't slick rick. the beat just sounds outdated - if that's possible, i don't know. completely agree about his delivery and voice being weird. it worked on ridin' dirty, but it doesn't seem very versatile or appealing to me. but, i do respect him for taking a stand on something somewhat positive.

What's that Heritage store (or whatever it's called) like? I heard that an old friend who used to manage at Ground Zero (skateshop) was opening a new store/boutique or whatever in Roseville, so I'm thinking it may be it. I don't get home enough to know, though. As for SBs and Diamond - Omar's old shop had that stuff (since he skates for SB), but I think he shut the doors and wants to reopen in a better spot. Old Roseville isn't a good spot for a youth-oriented store... Interesting to hear about these places back there. I'll have to check them out when I get back home. Phoenix is still beat when it comes to clothes. For a city of nearly 4 million, everyone somehow has horrible fashion sense. It's like everyone forgets about it. There's one store now, but it's pretty limited and I've yet to check it out. But, you guys can always hit SF and stock up on whatever.
