Customs/taxes with pickyourshoes.com?

You know those forms they make you fill out when you're on an international flight returning to Canada? Read it next time. If you're importing less than $60CAD you are exempt from taxes. Marking it as a gift does nothing. If you use UPS, you'll also have to pay a UPS brokerage fee, which can be $30+. Most places will mark the value as whatever, so just ask.

Baggy jeans (Need help!!)

Get any pair of raw jeans and hem them. there wont be any fading when theyre new, so when you hem them, itll be fine. Eventually itll fade, and theyll all be in the right spots.

how do you keep that raw denim shine?

starching doesnt take care, itll create creases that stay, and will give your jeans sharper honey combs, and quicker. spray starch on the front and behind the knees when wearing them.

[Quote] no, starching wont add that shine again. although starch them anyways to make the creases stay.

Pop spilt alover my nudies

DONT put water/soda on them and rub, this will take the dye off in those locations. dry clean them, or soak them and hang dry them in the shade, or if youve been wearing them alot for a few months, just put them in the laundry. jeans that get the best looknig fade are often ones that get washed every 30-60 days after the intial 4-6 months of heavy wear

This is why I refuse to pay more than 30$ for jeans

picnic: cant you argue/debate with a bit of class or tact? anyways, as said, i dont know of any 'premium' brands that are using sri lanka to manufacture their jeans. I would bet that any brand that tried to come out with a premium jean and hefty price tag with a made in sri lanka tag on it would fail rather quickly. Most premium denim manufacturers are made in countries where labour is expensive. Earnest Sewn: US PRPS: Japan Dior: Italy/Japan Atelier la Durance: France

Is anyone wearing anything no one is wearing?

I dont agree with Nudie given what hes asking. Theyre very popular, and not only have they been around for years, but theyve been Swedens biggest fashion brand for years. RMC: Id rather kick my legs thru a garbage bad and wear that around than a pair of hideous RMC jeans brands people arent wearing (not necessarily up and coming) - Atelier La Durance - Very nicely done. I hate slash pockets thou. - Karte Blanche - Unique, but very expensive - Ande Whall - Independant, priced right, great job. Dont like the back pockets. - PRPS - Getting more popular, but the price point and small runs will keep these jeans from being mainstream.

[Quote] itll take longer and probably wont be as crisp if they were tighter. to speed things up a bit, spray the front & the back of the knees, and the front with starch to help set creases.

The Official Visvim Thread

visvim is expensive as hell, but at least the craftsmanship and the materials used justify it, unlike a lot of other brands in the same price range. visvim isnt for everyone. for instance: they have a tee with a dot pattern, so do many other brands, now why are they double the price? cause of the type of cotton used, the processing used on the fabric, their craftsmanship etc. thats why they can charge those prices, AND justify it. the look of isnt way out there for the most part, people who dont know aren't going to comment on a lot of their stuff, its not meant for that. but people that know material, processing, construction etc will be impressed with all of those qualities. Visvim: Worth what they charge: Yay Visvim: Is it for everyone: Nay Ive got a black/white pair of the Judd Stingrays on right now, best shoes ive ever owned hands down.
