[Quote] I think it's something that takes confidence and security in oneself. But if you have those 2 qualities then man you should do it. I've got one friend that has traveled to multiple cities/countries by himself and he seems fine and enjoyed his experiences. I think you should give it a try, maybe try going to a city/town by yourself so you're starting small and always stay safe man, my friend went abroad and got robbed (left his stuff in an area within his hostel and someone took it all). Just to illustrate a negative aspect of travelling alone. The other side of it is when you're by yourself, you can explore everything you want to. As a society I feel like we're kinda scared of doing things alone, even when out alone I'm kinda glued to my phone, seeking social interaction, rather than enjoying the environment by myself.

damn hb dead now

Oh damn, Sandy, that's old school.  I remember the guy from shoutbox that ended up in pen for a robbery or something. I think a lot of people grew up, posting on forums is hard to do when you're busy. That and stuff like Twitter being big now.

Oh my bad man, I'm a super novice so I'm not even sure. I actually don't have a clue about if a digital or film cam would be better. I'm open to both, for a film camera I'm wondering if having to get pictures printed would be inconvenient though. I appreciate any tips/advice

Apparently the suspect specifically targeted white officers, sad day man. I always say I'm the west America's race relations and the problems it has are very unique. Just hoping you lot can solve it.

Man, condolences to the dead officers. Sad what parts of America are going through. Hope as a nation you guys can move on from it, stuff like this doesn't need to happen.

What's a good, well priced intro camera? I remember people recommending a DSLR but not sure which in particular. This thread is one of the last high quality threads on HB imo, keep it up you lot.

[Quote] One has genuine interest, the other doesn't. Don't get it twisted as well, there's a lot of bandwagoners from England/UK as well.  Grime has always been marginalised in a way so it's all funny that it's trendy now. That's my main point really, when somethings trendy it's more acceptable to take a liking to it, Skepta has produced bangers since like 2005 but certain people will only check for it now that it's trendy. Again not necessarily a good/bad thing, we all do it.

[Quote] You reckon? I think that's probably deliberate on his part. But on the flip side I think loads of his older stuff is quite accessible in terms of the beats etc. I actually think someone who hasn't listened to grime knows more about its accessibility though, I've been on it so it's all accessible to me tbh. Also, whilst I get why it has to happen, the idea that a genre in any media needs to be diluted to appeal to the masses is problematic. That's why I've always thought the pursuit of some grime artists/fans to appease Americans is silly - there are loads of Americans that have been able to like the rawest grime, those that don't just don't like it, which is fine.  Imagine if in the past rap had to change to appeal to the rest of the world.

[Quote] I hear you man, I'm cynical so whilst I agree I think some of the people are just bandwagoners. I only wish people took to it a few years ago because the scene was healthier, I feel like people wouldve enjoyed it even more then.

[Quote] Not a bad thing but It's funny seeing Americans actually check for grime when before they were quick to slap it down, all it took was a co sign from popular rappers and a hipster following and grime is acceptable. Legit consciously or unconsciously people are really influenced by others, especially when it comes to music. I remember posting grime on American forums back in like 08 and getting almost angry responses, showing Americans in real life and them being like 'wtf'. No lie, I showed a dude some old Skepta songs, in 2015 and he aired it. After Shutdown and the increase in Skepta's fame he's checking for him in 2016 lol. Drake co signs and everyone starts singing along to Shutdown, makes it all seem like a fad to a lot of you lot. Like I said its not a bad thing, just interesting to see the shift in opinion.
