[Quote] It's killer man be prepared to work hard a lot and many times for free. Just don't let yourself get taken advantage of, it's common on small shoots and sets if you're new to the field. You may have a better experience if you're going to film school or something since you'll make good connections. @AmericanLegend:  I work Best Boy Electric, basically assistant to Key Gaffer in charge of lighting. It's definitely nothing close to what I want to be working in and by no means high in stature but it's the best way to move up right now. It beats being a Production Assistant though, I hated that job.

I hate unpaid internships so damn much.  They take advantage of newcomers so much with little to no gain in return. It's such a shady practice I seriously can't understand how it's legal and ethical. When I first started working in film doing small indies/projects/etc I would work so damn hard only to be paid in "connections" and "good learning experiences" which is all BS. That stuff doesn't pay bills. Now that I'm a little step higher than where I was previously in my career ladder I'm getting paid a good amount for less work than I've ever done when I would work for free. It's crazy how much this has changed me. I would always sell myself short saying I would work for free, being happy to work just to make connections but now as I'm growing I'm starting to recognize my value and honestly wont give my time for no pay in return. It sucks because I've gotten to where I'm at because of working for free many times, but that's not to say I shouldn't have not gotten payed for so much work I've put in from the past. There really is no point to this, I'm not saying not to work for free or anything, I'm just speaking my mind and rambling.  Well I guess maybe the point I have in this is to not sell yourself short. Know your value and worth and don't let yourself get taken advantage of. There are so many instances in my life where a young ignorant me did supid crap for free.

I feel you London. I've thought about suicide and death pretty much my whole life after freshmen year High School and still do. The thing is I only think about the concept of it, repercussions from it, etc.  I've always kept this bottled up away from my family and friends because I don't want them to freak out about nothing. I know if I told them they'd think I wanted to kill myself and I don't. I'll admit maybe a younger me might have contemplated it but as I'm getting older I'm starting to realize how grand life is. Life is honestly such an amazing thing that we have the chance to experience and I won't ever let myself stop myself from experiencing it. If any of you have suicidal thoughts, etc. I'd definitely recommend getting help early on. I'm getting over my depression but it's done so much damage to my social life and health and I'm sure I could have avoided that if I asked for help early on.

Graveyard shifts really do a number on your health both short and long term. It sucks cause I know there's people out there who have no choice but to work them. I myself work 12 hours usually 7am-6pm and can agree that they're also the worst. On top of that I usually have to be there earlier and later on unpaid hours so it usually looks like 5am-7pm (Sometimes later.) I can't fathom how people pull 16 hour days, that would literally kill me. I've actually been told most work intensive jobs like that shorten your life span. (Like production executives, etc. dont know if there's any truth to that.) Edit: I just re-read this and realized that I sometimes pull 15 hour days, damn. I guess at least it's not an everyday thing. and @SonofRise, I've been off Hypebeast for a while but I'll get back to your Pm, my bad on the super late reply I hope some of the stuff I send you can still help you somehow. And kind of off topic, but has anyone here seen Erased? I definitely would recommend it. I know there's a lot of people here who have something against Animation but it's a very great show.

So apparently Shake Shack is making its debut here in California, saw some people talking about it on here and wanted to see if the hype was real. Any recommendations on someone going for their first time?

Marvel/Disney Spider-Man

Live actions are where I draw the line. ^ I don't like how they're adapting Ghost in The Shell and feel like I've seen they might be adapting Akira as well. I'm not a fan of it all but can understand there are people who do and I can respect that. My problem is they never do the original work justice. Dragon Ball Z's live action was terrible for me. I only like Mortal Kombat's old live actions because I was a kid when I first saw them but can admit now that they suck. Animation is a medium itself and feel like it should be left alone. Just focus on making better and good movies rather than recreating another one. It's good to have new perspectives but this is just my take on it.

Who you want to be president ?? (• ε •)

I believe that none of these candidates should run this country. Only viable person I see is Bernie Sander's but I don't want all that free shit from the government.

Marvel/Disney Spider-Man

I used to hate the how often Super Hero movies would come out but you just got to understand Marvel and DC are just trying to get movies out there. I learned to just accept and respect it. Only problem I have is more quantity diminishes it's quality.  My top 3 that I'm looking forward to this year might be Civil War First, BvS 2nd(would've been 1st had not for Doomsday and Wonder Woman) and X Men.  I personally really like Spider-Man's new suit, reminds me so much of the cartoons that add nostalgia factors.

Death of a close friend

My condolences. I've never faced a death of someone extremely close to me, only Grandmother and Uncle but I can't imagine how it feels losing a sibling/parent or figures like them. Even a couple weeks ago my friend lost his 11 year old daughter. Life is fragile. I know it's hard for you now but as cliche as it sounds things pass and they all get better. Time heals all wounds.  I really hope you get through this dark moment in your life, just remember there's always hope in tomorrow.  May your friend Rest in Peace.

You really shouldn't doubt Disney at all. Whenever I'm going to watch a movie by them I know I will get a good film. They've become such a giant where their systems are designed to never fail. So much preparation and work goes into their movies that it'd be impossible for them to produce a shitty film.

Skincare: do you put air purifier/humidifier on while sleeping?

I use Coconut Oil. It's no joke, really good for your skin and hair. I use it as a replacement for shampoo as well. But to stay on topic my skin has always been pretty healthy but got a little bad last summer. I started using Coconut Oil and made it better than before. Really recommend it to y'all.

[Quote]  It varies depending on what you want/need. There's small rigs around $200-$1000+ on the Internet. There also kits that bring everything you need. You can even make them very simply and for cheap. The thing is silk screening is not like printing from a printer. It's very hands on and requires experience. There is such a thing called DTG(Direct-To-Garment) machines (expensive) that are exactly like printers but the quality sucks. There's also iron-on transfers (very inexpensive but are shitty quality.  Like said above there's a big learning curve to silk screening. Once you get the hang of it is pretty easy. Edit, heres a vid that covers the bare necessities. His method would be very cheap for you. [Embed content]

It's just the best fast food chain in California IMO. It's really cheap, the service is fast, the food is great and it'll take a while for you to actually get tired of it.  I know tons of spots that will destroy In N Out burgers as well, but they're smaller stores where they can give more focus on their foods/etc. But as a fast food chain that has a lot of stores I haven't really seen anything compete with them.
