[Quote] haha too funny, but it depends what you're looking for in the front wheel. Mavic open pros are never bad. Relatively light and since it appears you aren't doing any actual track racing they're great for riding on the road. They stay in true very well.

lots of L'pool fans in here it appears. Either that or a shit load of people over confident in Liverpools abilities. I'm an Arsenal fan and while I don't believe we will finish top 4 I don't think Liverpool will either. I see it this way: United, Chelsea, City, Tottenham and then a toss up between L'pool and Arsenal for 5th sadly. Though both teams made marquee signings both also lost a great hub to their team and I don't see either in the Champions League next year. However, I'm hoping one of the teams proves me wrong and knocks one of the new big three out of their throwns. It's a sad day in football when I can say that we're rooting for the underdogs when referring to two of arguably the best football clubs of all time. Football has become a play toy for all these children of oil...makes me sad smh here's to you Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan >smh>smh>smh>smh

yayy Arsenal!!! sell all our good players, replace them with mediocre players. I know Wenger has a good track record but the man can't seem to win...time for a replacement

[Quote] I do the majority of my commuting and riding under 10 miles on my track bike. I race competitively and do most of my longer rides on my road bike. Hell...as long as people are out on a bike what does it matter what kind of bike it is...

[Quote] word. I race with a University cycling team and we all race competitively on road bikes and most of the guys also race with the local shop teams as well. All on thousand dollar road bikes. The majority of us also commute on fixed gears just to get a break from the constant lull of the road bike. But I guess that's how it goes, Haters gon' hate

[Quote] depends what you want? if you're looking better than deep v's you're probably going to be building the wheelset. I have a set of profile hubs that I absolutely love (now on my brothers eighthinch) laced to deep v's but if you are looking for something even nicer but still rideable on the street I'd point you in the direction of Mavic's. Either open pro's or MA40's but H+Sons are nice as well. As for hubs I'd go with Phil Woods, Dura Ace, Profile or GranCompe

[Quote] I'm a big Arsenal fan but, fuck , I wish I could have that attitude. I'm so tired of finishing 2nd in everything. Just one EPL title is all I need. PLEASE!!! But I do agree, we have been rebuiliding. Get Vermaelen back on the pitch and a good GK and we will be set.. until then I dont know

[Quote] yeah Aerospokes blow, if you have money like that to toss at an ugly front wheel, go for some nice rims instead

[Quote] tongueface cheap steal frame with road drop outs ---> cheap steal frame with track drop outs. On top of that you want to add a $300 anchor and call it a front wheel. Go for it, brah, though it makes no sense at all I'm sure your street cred will go through the roof. Don't forget to learn some sweet fixie tricks though..........

[Quote] Dude around here was riding one in a triatholon when the carbon blades failed in turn causing the rims to explode. Long story short, he lost his ear and road-rashed half his face to smithereens.
