Gosha Rubchinskiy kept quite busy this year: not only did Rubchinskiy premiere one of the most talked-about shows at this year’s Pitti Uomo showcase that continued his nostalgic skate- and sport-inspired aesthetic, but the Russian designer/photographer/stylist/all-around polymath also released a film, a book, experimented with fragrances, and launched a side project with his protege, Tolia Titaev in the skate-inspired PACCBET.
As far as his namesake label’s efforts were concerned, Rubchinskiy’s Pitti showcase saw him team up with a pantheon of Italian labels both iconic and arcane, ranging from Retrosuperfuture to Sergio Tacchini to Kappa. Meanwhile, his Vans and Reebok collabs remained some of the most sought-after in footwear.
