People like half cabs because thats what is "hyped" right now and by hyped i dont mean people are camping out for them i mean everyone is jumping on the bandwagon since everyone in the wdywt thread has them on.
ye slip ons are gay, and half cabs are the sickest shoes out there.

I never owned a pair of vans and i probably never will....i think they are all ugly....but thats just my opinion

How came people do not mention that they are comfortable? Believe it or not,my mom shipped me some pairs of authentic's when I was visiting my grandmother during the summer in Oakland. She knew I liked the color purple and so she got those and some other colors for me. I went nuts and it went from there. I have been a vans admirer for a good while now,so half cabs were the next thing I liked. That's all.

half cabs have been around for at least 15+ years. steve cab, himself, has been riding with vans for 17 or 18 years.

that's pretty OG by my standards..

in any case, hype has largely contributed to the half cabs' recent rise in popularity.

for me, i like them because they're one of the most comfortable vans models (with the possible exception of the TNTII's.)

I got mine on impulse the first time I saw em. I needed new shoes, and they caught my eye because of the nice, simple, old-school design.

Half Cabs also have a lot of really good colorways, as well. I think if I had to choose, I'd pick up TNT 2's when it comes to skatability, but looks Half Cabs wins by far. Bulletproof, Supreme, and the new vaults coming out are all hot as hell in my opinion&)
