Why were you asking how to make an 'edgy' brand in your previous (deleted) thread? You seem to have the right idea. A website complete with online store, etc... I don't consider FliPelican's designs to be very appealing. I wouldn't wear anything with a Pelican wearing a taco-billed hat... It's swagger-jacking in a way, to make your logo a cartoon pelican, I don't know how that sounds to you but I think some may agree. Most brands don't last more than 5 years, you have to consider that fact when naming your brand or label something like "FliPelican" I mean is it supposed to be like 'Fly' Pelican or something? A better name would be 'Fly Pelican' and that's not saying much... Sorry, I mean c'mon look at the welcome image on your site... One word: CALAMITY

yeah, the logo doesn't really match the theme of the apparel in my opinion. I laughed as well.

You need to get back to the drawing board, scrap this idea, and start over.

First, I would like to thank you guys for your feedback, although its not positive I realize most people lack ideas themselves. Also, to us the pelican represents "Selflessness" in which it does if you do your research. Secondly its labeled FLI for the acronym "Finding Love or Light Inside" bec. I understand that most people have trouble with helping themselves do certain things, its hard to commend someone on something their doing. Also, were pretty huge on the southeast, if you are interested in researching we can be found on www.flipelican.com

We Appreciate the Feedback
God Bless

"Finding Love" and "Light Inside" are two different meanings for different acronyms, F.L. and L.I. I understand a Pelican may represent selflessness by it's characteristics as an animal, so why didn't you represent it in a more realistic manner?

Like this???

I'd buy that shirt.

you guys are definitely putting out more effort than a lot of folks on here. there's always hate, but it's a generalization of a few of the public's views. i admire the work you guys put in and seen a few of the pieces of the myspace and there a lot of heat in there. keep moving forward yall.

I would also agree. But I would at least consider a name change. It might work, but think about other brands for a second. Something as main stream as Cheerios. Their mascot isn't a giant Cheerio. It's a bee or something. The name doesn't necessarily have to be reflected in the mascot or logo. Take us for instance. Fuller Midwest's mascot/logo is a penguin. I'm not telling you what to do, just some advice to consider. But yeah, the illustrations look better than a lot of other "upcoming brands" on here.

I would also have to agree on fuller and AnmlHse statements .....you guys definiely bring a much Better presentation than most new brands that come here ....but fuller makes an excellant point on mascots and branding....I say stay with it.......
