Here is what you do.....

You go park your car on Fairfax and visit EVERY store, Fairfax has to be my favorite street in LA. Then you go and park on La Brea, repeat process. Then when you think you've searched ALL of LA, you go to Melrose which probably has the most stores among the other streets.

and when you go to fairfax, please don't go just to see odd future. that place used to be for real kids that skated and people that actually cared about the shops.. now it's just band wagoners and a bunch of gay ass hipsters

studio city is the shit, i lived there for 10 years then moved to encino, about 4 miles away. it's a super chill area, where alot of hipsters/skaters/kids hang out. a lot of cool shops, resturants, weed spots, street art, etc. youd love it

You're in luck. It's close enough to L.A. that you can get shit poppin' without the financial reprecussions of living on the other side of the Santa Monica Mountains.

You moving to Cali for school, work, etc.?

Anywhere from a stack to $2500 depending on complex, size of rented space, amenities and location.

Check this and Craigslist to get a good idea of what you're looking for.
