I'm from Boston and graduating this coming year, I'm trying to move to the bay area and (based on craigslist anyway) it seems like Daly City has some affordable places to live (in contrast to SF, which is expensive as fuckk), i've heard its on the BART and is only like 9 miles from downtown SF (where I plan on trying to work).

Whats the vibe like in Daly City?
Decent enough area?
What time does the BART into/out of SF stop?
How far do I have to go to see some Redwoods

?
Medicinal Marijuana?

Any other cities I should consider?

Fill me in, I kind of want to go out there this spring to see what the area is like if it sounds cool.

Daily city, cold as fuck most of time, cloudy too, but that type thats pretty nice
pretty nice area, really close to SF, only a few minutes away
BART goes early morning to reallly late at night, dont worry its usually still riding until like 10+
