I moved here 5 yrs ago and there is not much here when it comes to boutiques...

There was motive807 (closed)

I guess complete is still up... Besides that, I guess the Domain/RR outlets but...

Motive807 was a acutally a legit store. They weren't your average Crooks/10Deep/Mishka-only shop. Only store in Texas with a Ransom Holding Co. account, if I recall correctly.

The fact that they closed says a lot about the market in Austin (i.e. with the exception of a few, virtually non-existent).

Another good store in Austin used to be Factory People on South Congress (not a sneakerhead store), but they also closed down a few years back.

Premium Goods in Houston has been around for a while, but they're clothing selection is pretty weak. Pretty much all t-shirts and a few semi (read: not really) exclusive kicks.

And Dallas, well...Dallas sucks.

As far as Dallas goes I am not sure how it goes over there, but they have Kid Robot which I personally like (don't make fun of me xD).

Yea unfortunately I have to work on sat. so I am not going to be able to stop by to the opening of Nice Kicks. Which sucks because legend has it there will be a few goodies and surprises.

nice kicks just opened today with a huge turn out

complete is still going strong on guadalupe

and ya'll should check out this new spot on 6th street called sole fresco not too many accounts in just yet but new stuff is coming soon, check 'em out

Anyone gonna be in town for sxsw? mad shit going on...
