I'm curious is to what's up with Portland, I know it's a comedy show and all but is there any relative truth on how Portlandia portrays the city?
There is actually.. but Portland is pretty well rounded so there are "normal" people here too.
Is Woodlands still open?! Been in Portland a couple of years and I've never heard or been to it. I go to Compound often though.
Anyway just to try to revive this thread and share some more shops:
Poler (more outdoorsy but they got fresh beanies, backpacks etc.) I've seen skaters rock it quite a bit
1300 W Burnside St, Portland, OR 97209
Tanner Goods (I'm pretty sure this place was featured by Hypebeast... I've never shopped here but I heard they got some nice stuff)
Right next door to Poler ^^^^
Machus- which is on the east side of the river (Dope shit at this store but too expensive for me)
542 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97214
Sublimity (Skateshop in Beaverton, has a decent collection of shoes. Some clothes too)
12404 SW Broadway St, Beaverton, OR 97005
Wildfang (It's a "tomboy" girl boutique but they got some dope gear for men like Norwood 5 panels)
1230 SE Grand Ave, Portland, OR 97214
Cals Skate shop (Someone mentioned Cals Pharmacy, these are different shops)
210 NW 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97209
and there are some dope brands that I know of that are from Portland but I don't think they are available at any brick and mortar shops
and some of the shops already mentioned are still running like:
Upper Playground (love their newest 5 panels)
Urban Outfitters LOL
hope this helps..
