Is Commonwealth going to have an opening party?



Nope no opening party. They will be throwing a party soon though at a local club\lounge. The spot is TBD. Also check for a collab with the Clipse/C'monwealth throwing a party up here in DC in a few weeks. Should be hot. We are still trying to secure a venue that is sneaker/fresh gear friendly.

Major opening party is this saturday,i cant tell you the time because,it hasnt been confirmed,they will also be selling some kicks that everyone has been wanting???cant tell you that either,but i can tell you this they have a heavy price tag....

Alot of you have been asking why dosent kickballers,post and all that good stuff,you will not be seeing Kickballers posting anything until the store opening,you all have to trust me on this one,Kickballers will be DC's number one stop to shop for clothing and Kicks,they will have brands that most of the stores who have been around for a while,cant even get,there shoe collection will be sick,even without there nike account there nikes are still going to be sick,trust me,look foward to alot of good stuff,i dont wanna give away anything really good,but the opening will be sick,the collabs,will be like no other for a store on it's opening day.......

I stopped by at Major today. Store is nice but agreed on the posts above, its clear that they are "open during construction". Nikes were not as impressive as some of the other shoes they've got. The Major x NewEra caps are sikk and I wanted a Major x LRG shirt but they were out of my size sad. The apparel side is a bit lacking but from what I can see they've got stuff in boxes trying to put out. People there were really friendly though, must love that. Overall good visit. For everyone else, I would check back in a month or two when they are settled in for a real evaluation.

talked to the guys at major and i heard d51 only does consignments.

my plan WAS to go to d51, but i didn't feel like going.
i got the stomache flu and it was killing me all day today.

other than major, gt player, sportszone, there's really not much in georgetown.
i was there for about an hour and got bored and left.

right d51 doesn't have any accounts as of yet but it is possible to get an account with reebok and adidas doing consignment. nike on the other hand...probably won't happen. but d51 is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. they are having the shoe drive all this week. so stop in and drop em off ya kicks. it's for a good cause smile

Major is def still a work in progress. Lots of potential though. For some reason, I get really excited when going into the store, yet I come out with nothing. It's just something entirely different from anything going down in DC. The guys around Major are already hating. In other news, this guy that came into the place I work told me that he talked to Greg from Elite and he told him that they were opening a store up in DC in April. Also, I dropped by Sportzone and talked to some dude about Major. He told me that Sportzone is trying hard to get an SB account which is kinda ridiculous since you need to be an actual skate shop to get an SB account. Ya ....idk

S.T.A.C. in the Virginia Beach Town Center just openned. 50/50 ladies/Mens wear. Very nice denim selection. No shoes, but nice clothes.

FYI on C'Monwealth DC
Not opening this week they are still working on a couple permits. The interior is pretty much done. They are just waiting on the getting all the papers squared away. They were saying hopefully mid-week next week.
