I have checked out Gilroy's Ninja Sushi and Ninja Omakase.. they're alright.
Monterey's Sushi Moto was better.
San Jose's Tomi Sushi was mediocre... can't expect much from a buffet.
Any others? I will most definitely check them out

yup ray's sushi closed down and now some other sushi spot is taking over. Ray's was hands down the best in hayward.

OP, there are a ton of good spots in the city but if you're in the eastbay check out Sushi House in Alameda. Downtown Alameda (a hidden gem) is only about 1/2 a mile away with a bunch of cool spots (awesome theatre, bars, restaurants, tuckers ice cream, district footwear, etc).

My fam and I have always loved Sushimaru.

Sashimi is just the name of raw fish though - I doubt that's the name of the restaurant. It's like naming a Steakhouse - Steak.
