Should I get one? Commercial says it replaces a laptop(something I don't have). It looks pretty rare.

Not worth it right now, the cheaper version (RT) is pretty much useless , cant install normal window programs (exe) on it. And the normal surface is just too expensive for what it is and offers. So...NO

The Surface Pro will replace a laptop because it has an i5 and i7 intel processors.
The Surface Pro 3 looks very interesting.

It is an overpriced peice of fluff. I had one and it was great until I tried doing what I do on my laptop. No it does not replace a laptop. Saying it replaces a laptop is like saying a laptop replaces a desktop. smh

If you want to buy a tablet than rather buy a simpler one and keep your notebook... Or wait until they're further developed and better prices. Same as with digital cameras: The first cameras were really expensive and got replaced by better ones really soon. So I'd say: Just wait a little!

Btw.: I looked for an introduction thread but didn't find one. So hi, I'm Peter, an industrial designer based in London.
