How far into your contract are you? How much can you get for the iP4?

5 is leaps and bounds ahead of the 4/4S. The 4 will essentially be worthless if you wait until the 5S.

I'd say upgrade to the 5, sell the 4. Bank the money from the 4. If the 5S is worthwhile, sell the 5, add the banked money from the 4 and buy the 5S off-contract, If the 5S is an incremental upgrade(NFC, Retina+), stick with the 5 and use the banked money for your bill.

I agree with @99%Shit, Apple have really outdone themselves with the iPhone 5. I'd go for the upgrade and sell your current phone if I were you.

Just get something else... iPhone is dated at this point. For the money you can get a better phone unless your just dying to get an iphone than go with the 4s...

I'm trying to sell a perfect condition iPod 32GB on my local craigslist, how much do you guys think I should ask as asking price, since the 16GB iphone 5 is starting at $200 i was thinking that's a good starting price, but maybe I should go $160, but I'm trying to buy the 32GB, thoughts? sorry if it's off topic I'm just really trying to sell my iPod before It goes even more down in price..

I like buying everytime Apple goes up an iteration on an iPhone..

For example I bought the 5, because my contract lets me upgrade every two years. The next upgrade will come when the 6 comes. I've found the more appealing upgrades come with the number changes so this works great for me..

I would check ebay for going rates, subtract any ebay fees and paypal fees, and price it at that or a little higher. That's what I do when I sell locally and it sells super fast (usually) and I make the same or more money as if i went through ebay

Go to Best Buy for your upgrade. You can trade in/sell an iPhone 4 (granted it's in good condition) for $130, and use that towards an iPhone 5. I've had the 4s and the 5, and the 5 is much better. Faster (unless you have Sprint).
