No I am not rooted. Just download a launcher and you can do all thIs. I use nova.

side note: i dont know what the gs3 fam is doing for cases, but i got the diztronic case off amazon for next to nothing and i love it. nice matte finish on the back, glossy on the front around the screen. looks dope. its a bit slick because of the matte finish though, but no more than the plastic body without a case. nice if you arent living that giant hard case life.

different carriers/phones get OTA updates at different times. just because its out doesnt mean its available to you yet. unless you are rooted and want to sideload it yourself, unfortunately, you just have to wait.

I'll tell you as soon as I can. They already have how to get it for the nexus 7.
But what jay tee says is true it matters on carriers. I'm waiting for 4.1.1 on my s3. It's rolling out internationally already.

the nex is the first device to get the update


the international version of the nexus is the first to get google updates. if you're on a US carrier, should be available to you OTA shortly.
