I installed the stock 4.2 to my G-nex.

It's alright.

I had a custom 4.2 rom before that was MUCH faster.

The only reason why i want the stock 4.2 is cause of the widgets on lockscreen

Disable background sync in the currents app.

@fuckenjoe Thanks. I changed the voice search icon to one that has a square border and removed all the app titles so everything is more uniform. I'm not rooting mine though. I used widget locker and uccw on my lock screen. Took forever for me to figure this all out.

i have a uccw widget on my lock screen to. I just used the lock screen widget feature in 4.2 though. You'll get better as it goes along. I might just flash aokp so I can get my short cut section in notifications and try some things out. I love the stock rom though. I have Lightflow on mine so I customized the notification light.

@fuckenjoe yeah I'm using lightflow as well. The only thing I don't like is the light isn't as noticeable as the S3 notification light

Digitiser went(partially) on my OG Atrix, had a quickfix working, but now it's fucked even more(deadzone is .5cm wider than before). I have no upgrade until November, and N4 orders are backed up to all hell, kinda fucked. There's nothing decent available $300~400 off-contract that's decent, the One V is, but it's not even really on par with what my Atrix was running, and HTC are junk IMO. Trying to find a GNex, but it's $30 more than Google was charging for it.

Might just buy out of my contract and get an S3 or something. Might buy a digitiser and try to fix it myself. Might suffer with it until the new year and hope I can find something decent.

Anyone upgrade and want to get rid of a GSM phone in that price range?

Cheers. Watching it. Have a feeling it'll shoot out of my price range, but who knows. PayPal let's me do PAD, so they'll put up the dough for 21 days and then charge me, so I might just suck it up.

@99%shit try Craigslist. I sold two of my phones on there. You could get a good price on an s3 s2 or gnex. Nexus you just gotta hope and pray they produce more. Or tmobile if you really need one.

Yeah, I found some on Kijiji for ~$280, but I'll have to wait til January to buy IRL. On eBay PayPal let's me do Pay After Delivery, which would allow me to cop today, pay in 3 weeks. And I'm in Canada on Bell.

Fuck, missed out on that GS3, easily would have paid $400, too bad I didn't take a break til now, oh welp.

I don't want to invest in this phone any more. It's an easy fix, but if I can get something new that can run 4.2, I'd much rather that. It's either wait ~3 weeks for the digitiser to ship, or wait that time and cop a new phone.

@bubbs619 yes you have to go into setting security and allow unknown sources. Then you can search for apks for different apps and they will pop up. I use to use 4shared.com.

it turns out. my phone "LG Motion 4G" doesnt allow users to move APPS onto MicroSD Memory card unless it's rooted. What kind of bullshit is this? oh well I still got 6G of internal storage so whatever.

However I can still move media files like music, pics, and contacts to SD card. I'm planning to use this phone for a year or 2 then cop the unlocked phone or nexus model.

I also found out Nexus 4 lacks USB OTG function.... booo.

* For those who got Nexus 4, I strongly suggest y'all to look into Solavei. It's a carrier that uses T-Mobile network and offers unlimited texts,calls, and data and it's only $50 a month. Only available in america tho.
