I have an iphone 4s running ios 5.1 jailbroken w/ a buncha cool tweaks and useful features. I've played with both phones and iphone 5 is fast and all, but no current jailbreak is such a dealbreaker. An iphone is so limited when it doesn't have a jailbreak. I'd rather keep my current my 4s than upgrade to an iphone 5. Go with an s3 if you're going to upgrade unless you're already heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem and have all the istuff. Apple sales need to start declining for them to start really innovating again. The iphone 5 and iOS 6 was such a disappointment to me.

I'm definitely trying to upgrade from an iPhone to a Galaxy S3. My 2 year contract with an iPhone ends in January  I've had countless problems with my iphone

if you wanted something simple and straight forward, just get the iphone...
but if you want to customise your phone, have more control.. get galaxy S3

I am a S2 user and I find android gives much more freedom to the user.

Rooting the phone isn't really meant to make it work properly.

Rooting is to allow further customisation to the phone to your liking or style
rooting is similar to jailbreaking term in iOS

u can contact Samsung and get your S3 fixed or get a new one.

Because apparently there are many users experiencing this problem which S3 turning into a "dead brick." Not turning on or anything.

The common thing amongst these users is they all used the phone for about 3 months then they're faced with the problem.
