Got it. Haven't messed around with the new features but I do see a huge difference in Safari. Might become my default.

what's this huge difference in safari everyone is talking about? the only things i really noticed were the wider tabs, private browsing and integrated search bar- all pretty insignificant shit in my opinion.

So you haven't seen a difference? I only used Safari a couple times before installing Firefox. I know the performance sucked compared to others, but it seems better now.

Imo, Safari hasn't changed, it's all in your head. It's a good update though, especially for its $19.99 price. To me it's essentially just a polished version of Lion.

page sharing is pretty dope, actually. emailing a full page is crazy useful and good looking(if you use mail)
the search bar is a big deal as far as safari goes(not necessarily as all browsers)
it's a lot faster and lighter than it was before
the tabs are way better
if you have a trackpad, pinch to view all tabs and swipe between all of them
and don't forget about safari tab/bookmark sync over iCloud(which isn't innovative either but they finally got it)

in my opinion, lion was about introducing all the new shit and mountain lion was about refining it

I wont upgrade to Mountain Lion now, because some apps like NOD32 are not compatible with the ML ...

the "omnibar" was already available as a plugin in safari before
it may be a lot faster and lighter than it was before, but it still can't top firefox/chrome
the tabs are a matter of preference; doesn't add functionality really. I personally don't like them.

the icloud integration is honestly the only notable thing
but all in all firefox is still the browser to use when it comes to Mac.

Having an antivirus for OSX is idiotic and a waste of resources.

^ Now that you mention it...I've noticed my battery drains faster than it used to with Lion just on web browsing. I Have an early 2011 13" i7 MBP. Hopefully they get this fixed real soon because I don't wanna have to plug my MBP into a wall twice as much when I go back to school.
