So I am looking to buy a new set of speakers for my room to blast shit, but I dont know what to get. I have bose speakers on my computer, but I hear they are overpriced for what you get. Does Hb have any suggestions? edit: budget $300

Klipsch 2.1 are hard to beat for a computer set-up. I think they're about $150.

Audioengine A2. I've got a pair of these and they fill my entire 600 sq. ft studio apartment with audiophile-grade sound. They're a 2.0 system meaning no subwoofer, although they're subwoofer compatible they produce plenty of bass on their own. Would definitely recommend for a reasonably priced single-room setup.

like I said, you can add one if you want. I was skeptical myself but these will still make the floor shake and I get enough noise complaints as-is. The sound quality is superior to most in its price range, if that matters to you.

Promedia 2.1 would be my 2nd choice, they are very well known and touted as the best 2.1 speaker system you can buy, and have been for damn near a decade. You really can't go wrong with these for the price range. Sub hits hard. Klipsch puts out some of the best home audio equipment there is.

1st choice would have to be Logitech Z-5500 THX-Certified 5.1 They are on amazon for $839 which is fucking outrageous since they originally retailed for $400, they have been discontinued but are still very highly sought after, which is the reason for the price hike.

You can snag a "like new" set in the link I gave for $280 shipped, which is just under your price range.

I normally don't fuck with Logitech speakers but these are in a league of their own.

Klipsch/thx 2.1 are great. blew the sub after a year or so though.

those a2's look clean as hell, might order a set of those lol.
