how do you guys feel about them? I've had two pair of Beats (Solo HDs and iBeats) and imo, they were both pretty bad. The Solos fell apart and I'm pretty sure one, if not both sides, have blown out. The iBeats blew out within weeks of having them and are completely broken. I just wanted to hear what you guys thought about them and any suggestions.

Beats only have good bass there not good with producing because they add to much bass so you would never know a sounds original sound that fucks it all up.

They add too much warmth and are bassy. They have a bad build as they snap easily but great for average music listener who can handle products for care. But if going for musical mixing there are many other choices personally my next purchase: KRK KNSs unsure on model yet.

monster ended their relationship with the beats line and wont allow them to renew their contract.

expect to see beats hit the clearance shelves soon but the turbine line will still be around. and honestly they are the only things that are worth their price from monster

I would definitely not go Bose. Their headphones sound muddy.

The Skull Candy headphones are absolutely jokes as well.

For second hand market items, beats are a pretty reasonable purchase if you're looking for pros.

But like freshsteez said, aint no audiophiles posting on this thread. If you knew you'd be listing Grado, Sennheiser (the higher end cans), Audio-Technica (M150's are pretty hi-fi standards), or Beyerdynamics (the 770's are music studio staples alongside the Sonys and Ultrasones).

the beats tour are definitely not worth the price tag. they're so easy to break but at least mine broke under warranty so i could get a new pair and that pair was broken when I got them so they sent me another. At least that third pair is still going strong!

Those who recommend Bose over Beats aren't doing any better, the price of Bose are ridiculous too. Any of those brands just recommended are great and you can't go wrong. I just got some V-Modas myself because i wanted a heavy bass pair of cans without sounding muddy and they're great, i've even convinced my friend to sell his Beats to buy these. I have Audio Technicas, Shures, and have used Sennheisers too and when i listened to those beats they're not what you should be getting for the price you're paying. Your music will sound so much brighter if you broaden your range a bit with other brands. Go to your local Guitar Center and try some headphones on, you'll see what i mean. Get some Audio Technica M-50 if you want great sound and some bass, they're not the prettiest pair but you get great sounds for around $100.

lol...right? a part of me dies a little everytime someone mentions any of those brands and "good audio" in the same sentence.

grado sr60 did me well

thank you for mentioning something that doesn't suck. if you're looking for good quality audio for under $100, you could do a lot worse than these.

I have these. Pretty good quality for 50$. Beats are shit, they are only ment to be worn as a sort of status symbol if you know what I mean. They just up the bass to make up for the shitty sound the rest of the headphones produce.

For in ear headphones, I have some Bose ime2's and they have great sound and last without being blown. If your looking for over ear headphones check out the AIAIAI TMA-1's.
