My contract is up this month so ima pick up a 4s. Has anyone used a Lifeproof case? It's impervious to fuckin everything while still being compact. Costs $80 but shit seems cool.

^bamboo looks like shit.

i had a lifeproof, but took it back. there's a gap between the screen protector and your phone so you have to really press down. killed it for me- otherwise a nice case. offers the protection of an otterbox (plus water proof) minus the bulk.

i've been eyeing these patchworks alloy cases from korea -

looks classy, but i'm hesitant because i've had trouble with aluminum cases in the past and these aren't cheap.

as far as "waiting for the 5" you're always going to be waiting, just bite the bullet, same who waited on the 3gs for the 4g are the same waiting on the 4s for the 5. Iphones have GREAT RESELL VALUE, I fully plan on selling 4S to cover ATLEAST half the cost for the 5.

Lol people in here talking about waiting for the 5.... Why don't you wait for the 5s instead ? Or just hold out a bit longer for the 6. Just get the 4s and wait to get the 5. You shouldn't even be concerned with the 5 yet. When the 5 releases you could always save a bit for it and sell the 4s if you want to upgrade that badly.

Here's the break down-

Buy a 4 on Craigslist- 200-250
Use upgrade for 5- 200-250
Flip 4 later on- +150

Out of pocket 250-350

Use upgrade for 4s- 200-250
Buy 5 for retail- 600-700
Flip 4s later on- +250

Out of pocket- 550-700

This is an estimate assuming you don't go to best buy or somewhere that might give a partial upgrade. Probably off a bit, but the first option is clearly cheaper.

I bought a 4 32gb with the hex case for 200 off craigslist
Plan on flipping it for the 5 since my upgrade is in september

Griffin Tech. a bit bulky and makes swiping across the edges a bit hard but makes my Ipod feel strong as fuck.
The screen protector is VERY sturdy, and thick but does not fuck with the response of the touch screen at all. I could drop my ipod without worrying about a cracked screen or anything getting fucked up. also adds a lot of grip for people with butter fingers.

Only bad thing about it is swiping close to the edges and it makes using the back camera annoying because of the flap covering it.

Cost me like like 40 dollars when I got it with my ipod. when I take it off, my iPod looks brand new.

Otterbox is another good case. I don't have it but its like the Griffin Tech case and protects it good.

EDIT: the clip thing is also removable if you prefer it in your pocket like me.
