Did anyone watch the Agbeko vs Mares fight? What a disgrace!! I hate it when Refs over react to low blows but when a boxer throws that many blatant low blows and you don't take a point away it is ridiculous!! Mares kept throwing them low and Russell Mora didn't give a shit. I'm thinking that ref is on Golden Boys payroll. At the same time if I am in Agbeko's corner I would have been ripping the ref a new asshole since the 2nd round! Fuckers didnt even say shit until the 11th! If I were Agbeko I would have started punching low as well.

Que puta mierda!

Props to Jim Gray for ripping Mora in the post fight interview.

Its now official Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito on December 3rd at Madison Square Garden! Cotto will finally get his redemption on Margarito, who had to cheat to beat him! Hope Cotto just pounds on this guy for all 12 rounds and batters his face up!

the mayweather and ortiz fight was really funny at the end but was totally unfair. funny how mayweather tripped out on the announcer at the end.

Sergio with the KO, but I give lots of props for Barker for catching him a few times. Barker was underated , he had a good gameplan and figured Martinez easily but not enough and caught with that KO.

BTW, how do you guys keep up with boxing? Like to watch it? Are there any live streams that stream them free? I'd like to keep up with boxing more, but I can't seem to do so. Like, I'm convinced, no once will care about boxing once mayweather and pac fight.

its not hard to keep up my dude if you were a fan for a while. I was a fan since i was a kid watching pernell and chavez and such. right now big names are obviously pac/floyd but there are other prospects out there that are up and comming. to be honest I allways thought to be a fan at a full contact sport , you have to not discredit boxing since it was the epitome of the whole sport of(mma) imo. I became a fan of mma since it first started (ufc back in the 90's) but then i was still a fan of boxing. check out boxingscene.com big forums for boxing as its simmilar to sherdog for mma. smile

Not sure he was robbed but I thought he did have the cleaner shots. Anyways, this fight was to setup the Mayweather fight so Marquez had to convincingly win which he did not. Mayweather gonna murk Pacquiao anyways. That nikka will counterpunch him all day.

It was a close fight but Pacquiao landed more shots and was pressing the action. The majority of the fight he had JMM backing up. JMM hurt Pacquiao and did a great job, however since it went the distance points came into play and since Pacquiao landed more shots, chances are he won more rounds, and hence the win. JMM made Pacquiao look human, he hurt him a few times. Props to him for sure.

I actually had this long, technical write up about the fight but then realized I was on HB and people on here dont know shit about boxing. Probably can't name 5 boxers or tell the difference between a jab and a cross. The technical aspect of boxing goes over everyones head here. Shit I ain't even a Pacman fan but it's not hard to see how he won. Honestly, with the stats in that fight and how you're suppose to judge a round, it would have been more controversial if JMM won it. He lost more rounds and landed less, however he did hurt Manny. Does that warrant the win? The answer is supposed to be no, but the criteria of winning a round/fight can and is slightly different for every judge.

Pacquiao landed nearly 40 more punches, when it goes all 12 rounds and the judges make their decision, that's what counts. There were no knock downs or point deductions, it was a straight up fight. Beristain shouldn't have been telling Marquez that he was winning the whole time and maybe you Marquez fans would've had a win.

i'm the best mayne, i deed it

Yes, his corner fucked him over hard. The fight was close, he should not have been telling JMM that he was winning. Because of that, JMM didn't push the pace. If he finished the last few rounds strong, it would have been a tie at the least. HORRIBLE cornering that probably cost him the fight.

LOL, they score on a per round basis. You win rounds, not how many punches you land.

Marquez has the cleaner shots however Manny kept stealing rounds at the last 30 seconds of each round. Had Marquez finished those rounds he would have probably won them. DeLa Hoya was the kind of stealing rounds and lots of fighters do it. Judges fall for it every time no matter what happened in the round.
