tomorrow in Columbus, Ohio.

So far, the trend for 10 years has been that U.S. defeats Mexico, I believe.

anyway game is on US soil in oHIO, it will actually be a home match for the US... one goal win by the americans

any match in the US is never a complete "home match" for the americans.

i predict 2-0. goals from dempsey and altidore and marquez breaking donovan's leg.

this will be a good match.

i dont know why anyone cares about this game anymore.

mexican fa is in the toilet with no money.

mexican national team is a fuckin joke. their two brightest stars are not living up to the bill. vela dosent have wengers confidence and cant get games especially since eduardo is coming back. and dos santos should be realizing he is not cut out for europe.

dos santos shouldnt have left barcelona. hes still really young and couldve benefitted from being around all the great talent that had surrounded him.

Mexico has some talent but every time they play the US it ends up being a hack fest and the only thing they try to do the whole time is take out US players.

US will win. Better talent and better ability to keep their heads and not start retaliating.

Though I root for Mexico, I agree with what most of you are saying.

The only reason they're playing in Ohio is because the US squad wants to get as far away as possible from an area where it would essentially be HOME for Mexico, (i.e. LA, Chicago, Tucson, etc)...thus Ohio.

Nevertheless, I got hope smile

We shall find out in 3.5 hrs or so

umm he had to leave.

iniesta, xavi, messi, henry, eto, gudjohnson, hleb, keita were all going to be ahead of dos santos theyre all established attacking players.

not mention bojan, busqueta are the golden boys and have proven themselves.

he is still young but i think a move to portugal or mexico would suit him better.

Maybe they are in Ohio because Columbus was the first soccer specific stadium in the United States and also because Crew Stadium is one hell of a stadium.

Oh man, after watching all the friendlies from yesterday and today, this game is more of a 'finding the errors' side game as opposed to a real match. The US boys need to learn the basics in order to come to real matches. Starting with the pass-and-go, because they way they're playing, it doesn't show creativity or goal scoring opportunities. And without opportunities, no goals. I mean, they can probably get away with this type of play in CONCACAF qualyfing, but beyond that, it's clean sheets for the opposition. Sorry for sidetracking, again with the game; pretty bland. The US has played slightly better by applying pressure and positioning themselves better than the Mexican squad. Their breaks aren't breaks and if more players learned how to run and play diagnal balls then they would run circles around the Mexican defense. As for Mexico, play through the wings with Dos Santos. He's getting 2-3 defenders on him, creating more space. A simple cross will unlock the (always) shaky US defense.

Edit.

Edit.

The player of the game so far IMO is Hejduk. He's reading the game quite well and in doing so, is performing some pretty crucial interceptions. Also, his attempt to assist in the attack is also quite useful as he's recovering possession for the Americans.

One more thing, Sven should have taken the Portsmouth job. lulz!

I love Frankie. Everything he does is with pure hustle and unrelenting effort. He may not be the most skilled player on the field but he sure works the hardest of anyone.

USA played like shit. bradley, frankie, klejstan, and howard played great. everyone else was either subpar or shit.

typical Marquez. haha. i knew he was going to get sent off.

what does bradley see in Ching? i think ching sucks with the us squad. i really wished altidore (even though hes not gettin any playing time at villareal) or some other ok striker get the start. Ching is a waste of space. bradley waited WAY to long to sub him out.

dos santos has a lot to learn. if he wouldve stayed for another season or two, who better to teach him then...iniesta, xavi, messi, henry, eto, gudjohnson, hleb, keita

klejstan sucked most of the game i dont know who you were watching? he simply looked nervous.

beasley looked good and with convey coming back to mls our wings look good.

our defense did look subpar. as for ching i think bradley is looking for a target man. and altidore is o loan at xisco from villareal i believe hence him not playing at villareal.

id like to see howard, gooch, boca, bornstein, hedjuk,convey/dempsey, beasley, bradley, klejstan, donovan, and altidore as our starting 11.

i always saw kljestan getting balls back from the midfield and even helping out when pearce/hejduk went up on the wings. to me, he was better than most.

onyewu played great also.

i agree with the starting 11 except for bornstein. i would play cherundolo and maybe Edu for Kljestan?

adu wasnt there cuz he has gotten any time at his club in portugal. i wish he was though. it wouldve been good experience.

i read that one of the mexico coaches slapped hedjuk after the game. hahahaha

Athletic abilities? Physical traits? Are you trying to say that Mexico has no talent what so ever?

if football was won on talent alone, mexico > everyone but the big countries (brazil, argentina, italy, france, germany, portugal, england, spain, holland). vela, dos santos, guardado, etc. dos santos is wasted at spurs and vela doesn't even get a chance (despite scoring three great goals against sheffield united in the cup). i wanted west ham to get vela in january cause he would give us pace and trickery.

I say Guardado is the most talented in our squad next to Ochoa. I say Mexico is going thru a bad time right now.
