2 Different supplements.

Casein you want to take before bed. It is a slow digesting protein.
Whey is what you want in the morning and after work out.

I usually drink muscle milk as a snack

Some people find it beneficial to get Casein and Whey, but just eat cottage cheese or slowly digesting proteins before bed.

To whoever asked, my deadlift max is 405

guys i need some help. im in college and last quarter i gained like 10 pounds and i was really happy with it (im a skinny ass mofo). the problem is that now that the new quarter has started, im usually only eating like 2 solid meals a day...sometimes breakfast if i want, and im losing a few pounds.

what are some good snacks i can eat to steadily keep my calorie intake up? im gonna try to eat more in the dining halls everyday and eat breakfast everyday.

i have a fridge but no microwave. i was thinking weight gain powder but the shit is so expensive....

i dont have time to workout, unfortunately. but i definitely DO gain weight if i keep eating. i just need a lot of good snacks to keep me occupied when im in the room...i tend to just stay hungry sometimes if i dont have anything in the room since i dont wanna walk all the way to the hall/food place and get a meal.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

^^ It sounds like you can eat whatever you want and gain weight and remain a low body fat %. If that's the case, just eat whatever you want man. Since you aren't working out, I don't think it will benefit you much to go out of your way and count carbs/calories/proteins. I would just use your mind when it comes to nutrition and keep eating as much as you can.

first u gotta find ur maintenance lvl (calories needed to maintain current weight/ muscle mass) to lose fat u gotta create a calorie deficit of probly 500 calories eating below ur maintenance lvl and doing cardio about every other day. just eat simple foods like oatmeal, fruit, egg whites and protein. as long as u create a cal deficit u will lose fat. also increase ur potassium intake and limit ur sodium intake. having too much sodium will make u appear bloated causing water retention (water stored underneath the skin). Potassium is the complete opposite and helps get u that cut look. keep ur protein intake up as well and lift heavy! good lucksmile

you guys think this is a good diet (its a rough one i havent made the final plans yet)
breakfast (6:20-6:30 AM)- 1 cup of oat meal, 1 yogurt, whey protein shake made with water. total calories = 330
snack (~9-10)- ON protein bar- 230 calories
lunch (~11-1130)- 2 slices of whole wheat bread, 1 can of tuna, 1 nature valley granola bar, 1 propel- 355 calories
snack (~230)- ON meal replacement- i think around 230 calories. 45 g protein
post gym (~8-9) 2 ON protein shakes- 240 cals + 48 g protein
dinner- whatever (not sure yet. itll be different every day. probalby watever my mom
makes)
before bed- 1 ON casein shake (120 cals)

i can give you guys the full macros another time. heres links to the ON protein bars/meal replacements im talking about

www.optimumnutrition.com/products/lift-bar-p-239.html
www.optimumnutrition.com/products/whey-gold-meal-p-203.html

and would it be better to have a casein shake or a whey shake in the morning? i was htinking casein since itll last all day. im also worried that i might be having too much protein throughout the day (4 shakes) when im trying to lose weight but also gain muscle

I choose to take Casein shakes before bed as opposed to cottage cheese because I prefer the taste and texture. Yeah, that's some idiotic shit right there. That's the only information you would have gathered from the first page. Get your shit straight and actually try to contribute something next time. Do dudes really sign up just to troll this section?
