Cottage cheese tastes like garbage, literally... Also 12 oz. of cottage cheese has the same amount of casein as a casein shake.. 12 oz. is a good amount so u would actually be spending alot more money than a tub if casein to get the same servings..

^ Its basically just a change in lifestyle and if u arent ready for the change then you will most likely u wont make it... Not saying u cant eat a cheat meal here in and there(its actually good) but you have to get a mind set to say this is what i want and do it.. Also what helps is only buying stuff u need to eat at the store.. Dont buy anything else, cause then u just have that to eat home.. If you are out somewhere just tell yourself, i dont want it and u can wait til you get home.. If u are going to be gone for a long time carry a replacement bar or grab something healthy to it.. Once u get yourself in that mind set and routine, it becomes easier everyday..

If u are looking to gain 10 pounds by the year end, u wouldnt even need a weight gainer... Just eat around 2000 calories, eat alot of protein food plus protein shakes.. Hit the gym 5 days a week and just keep increasing weight.. Also u can have certain weeks of just strength building by lifting heavy weights with more sets and less reps(5x5).. This will increase your regular rep routine.. And lastly dont do as much cardio maybe 1-2 days of light cardio but other than that keep lifting weights..

Now if u are looking for some serious gains, you can get a weight gainer such as cyto gainer, ON serious mass or ON pro complex gainer and add other supps. with it.. Doing this would get you 10 pounds quicker than years end...

^^ anxiety and jitters.. restlessness, hard time sleeping if you take it late.

Take Up Your Mass... if you're getting a weight gainer.

Btw, I weighted myself.. I weight 176 right now, and I must say I'm looking fucking massive. It rules.

Boo to Jack3d. There are a lot of good things I hear about Jack3d but there are some bad things also, as I said before it contains an ingrediant that really isn't good for you at all, look for it a few pages back.

But yeah, best way to gain mass is probably to use a weight gainer if you want it quick, easy calories, carbs, & protein.

**Just ordered my ASSAULT GREEN APPLE!!! Gonna go the gym as much as I can so I can use it all before I leave for basic!

good lookin' out. Got a question for you. I ordered that shred matrix and just got it in today. I'm reading the box and it says 2 servings a day which would be 6 pills a day. Is that what you do? Seems like a lot of pills. Sorry if it's a dumb question just don't know about this stuff. thanks for the help.

Yes I follow what the directions say.

I take 3 pills 30-45 mins. before breakfast. Roughly 6 hrs. later I take another 3 pills 30-45 mins. before lunch. Actually I'm about to take my 3 pills for breakfast right now!

Also make sure you drink A LOT of water (roughly 1 gallon), you'll be going to the toilet A LOT so be prepared, diuretics is crazy. You'll be losing that water weight like its nothing cool

Cool, thanks guys. I followed what you said Scotty and started today. It seems to be working not feeling hungry at all and been going to the bathroom like crazy lol I read the label it says don't drink coffee or anything with caffeine, does that mean take it when taking the pills or at all? I work at a coffee shop so usually drink tea or coffee..

The coffee thing, you can drink coffee just don't drink coffee when taking it. Usually wait an hour after taking it, that's what I do. I'm a big coffee drinker also, sister works at Starbucks lol.

My stack currently consists of ON Whey, ON Casein, and Jack3d. I would highly recommend MuscleandStrength[dot]com to anybody that is trying to learn about fitness, nutrition, etc. i've been a member there for years and have learned SOO much that my side job should be a trainer and/or nutritionist

can someone post up their diet? i wanna see what you guys eat

i just finished bulking from january so my diet has changed as of this month to suit my needs for a cut.

i was eating 4200 calories a day on the bulk of pretty much anything i wanted. im 6'4 and naturally lean. however, i did gain some unwanted fat. this is what im currently eating-

upon awakening
piece of fruit
protein shake

breakfast
4 egg whites, 1 whole egg
1/2 cup oats + scoop of myofusion

lunch
im at work for this meal so its either a grilled chicken wrap, tuna, or turkey on whole wheat
i usually add in some almonds or nuts

pre-workout
scoop of natty pb

intra workout
extend

post workout
2 scoop protein shake

dinner
usually chicken + broccoli and then an hour later i have more

pre bed
casein or cottage cheese

here and there throughout the day sometimes i throw in an extra shake. this isnt like the exact thing i eat day by day but a pretty general idea for the time being. this is the 1st time im going on a cut as well so if anyone has additional tips id be willing to listen

Great post from Scotty there. Very good basic guidelines on what to be eating. However, if youre bulking up you dont necessarily need to be so strict. Read meats are your best friend in that case.

@albeto - if getting yourself in shape had half as much to do with working out as it does with nutrition i would look like Zeus, but keeping the diet in check can certainly be tough
