I was skating to a new spot 2 weeks ago (after fucking Nationwide kicked me out) and was skating pretty fast. I ollied a 6 stair (without checking the landing cause I've skated it before) and landed straight in a patch of gravel on busted cement. Needless to say my deck stopped as soon as I touched the ground but my body kept going and I rocked my right angle HARD. I'm out for a few months now because I shattered my fibula. Got 20 staples, two 6 inch pieces of steel, and 15 screws.
Moral of the story is, if you value skating always check your landing. By the time I can walk correctly again it will be to cold to skate.
