Skate shops around me start out with 150+.

Honestly, not really.

Shit you need:
Indys: roughly 40
Bones Reds: 15
Wheels: around 30
Hardware/grip/all that jazz: 10

That's 95 right there. Assuming you get a 30 dollar shop deck (which isn't the best, but it'll do if need be), that's 125. You could dip under 100 but that would mean getting really shitty trucks or really shitty wheels.

Why don't you just ride your local shop deck. Decks really don't make a difference. Besides the graphics, which really doesn't matter. Plus, you save 20 bucks.

partly true some pro board are more concaved and make for better trick more pop but some you may not like the feel and you perfer cheep boards im for pro boards though girl is nice

Shape/concave is personal preference. Wood/glue really isn't. Deluxe uses the best wood/glue in the industry. They are literally the best boards you can purchase, qualitywise.

I was skating to a new spot 2 weeks ago (after fucking Nationwide kicked me out) and was skating pretty fast. I ollied a 6 stair (without checking the landing cause I've skated it before) and landed straight in a patch of gravel on busted cement. Needless to say my deck stopped as soon as I touched the ground but my body kept going and I rocked my right angle HARD. I'm out for a few months now because I shattered my fibula. Got 20 staples, two 6 inch pieces of steel, and 15 screws. sad



Moral of the story is, if you value skating always check your landing. By the time I can walk correctly again it will be to cold to skate. sad
