Vans Half Cabs, Nike SB Janoskis and Koston Ones for shoes. I never liked authentics for skating. Too thin and the sole feels weird.

Look more for shape and size rather than brand. I usually ride an 8 with a board that has a good concave to it and a bigger tail. I can't stand flat boards. And too much concave, I feel like I flip them too hard and starts to feel weird when I'm riding for a long time.
Take a look at your local shop for decks, or try to find some people and ask if you can ride around on their boards for a bit.

Do janoskis last long enough? Always had the idea the material is too thin and get ollie holes quick although they are quite pricey for a skateshoe

How long do you consider long enough? And also, how much do you skate? When I used to skate like 5 times a week, they lasted me like 3 months, which I think is pretty good. I've noticed the sole in the heel area to go out quick for me though, because I would wear them all them time outside of skating as well.

I skate like 3-4.times a week depending on the weather. But i think three months is a really long time to last for a shoe so i will probably check them out on my next purchase

Janoski are defenitely worth it. They last my buddy pretty long and all he does is flips and shit. Also, the sole on the janos is way better than on the koston 1 in terms of durability.

trying to decide on a deck.
i'm a beginner, and have been recommended FA, PlanB, element, and shop decks. unfortunately, there are no indie skate shops within 50 miles of me, so i think shop deck is out of the question. what be all of your recommendations?
also, has anyone skated the supreme 20th anniversary decks yet?
