Just got huge fucking flat spots on mine from being an idiot. I can't really decide whether to take the move into even smaller wheels 51mm or move up to a 54-55mm. My friends currently ride 55's and they love it, they say it's faster when they cruise and it doesn't really affect their pop? Does anyone ride 54-55mm for street? Spitfire make street burners in a 55 and I was always curious of anyone actually rode them?

I ride 54's they're the perfect wheel in my opinion, they're really fast without weighing me down

I ride 53 Spitfire classics. Perfect wheels. Lasts longer and feels better than 50s and 51s that I used to ride before. There really isn't any big difference that I've felt since I switched wheels. Although when skating through downtown, feels a little bit better.
Never tried the streetburners. Anyone recommend them?

Just ordered a 51mm classic street burners. Big stab in the dark because they didn't have the ones I wanted in store so I went smaller instead of bigger. I've never ridden small wheels before so hopefully they're good.

Setup and wheel posts lawl

8.38 Real
149 Indys x Bones hard bushings
Swiss no shields
52 mm blanks
--------------------------------
As far as the wheel size discussion, I highly doubt a 1mm difference in wheel size will affect your performance. The first few batches of F1 urethane was shitty, but they fixed it really quickly. Regardless, if you're just starting, you're not going to be able to tell the difference between different urethanes and 1-2mm differences in wheel size.

I moved down from 52's to a 50mm. I got the F1 Street Burners. I don't know if it was because my last pair of blanks were just a piece of shit or not but these wheels are amazing. They're fast, they're light, they're really really smooth.

About whether or not the extra 1 of 2 mm matters or not that is rather true you probably won't be able to tell too much but after getting these wheels I finally got kick flips down.

I love Thunder trucks. Always been my favorite.
But has anyone had a problem with them bending? I usually ride the lows, the 145s I think (whichever fits an 8 ). I was working on flatground one day in the Summer, breaking in the new trucks, and check this out:

Notice anything awkward about the one on the left? Never hit a ledge or went down a gap with them. Just straight up bent on flatground after about 2 hours. Anyone else have something like this happen to them?

^Woah what the fuck man? Thats probably a manufacturing defect you might be able to get warranty on that. From flat ground only? Unless you weigh over 100kg that doesn't make sense haha. Try and see if you can get warranty for them. That puts me off getting them now sad . Might just get the indy lows.

Guys at the shop said the same thing. They said the Thunder lows usually bend when you hit huge gaps, but not from flatground. I still like them the most out of all trucks though (when I did have non-defected trucks). I've been trying out Indys for the last couple of months. Just the raw standards. I hate that they weight like 20lbs. Feels solid and secure though. And do they make Indy lows now?

Yeah they do make lows now. Haven't heard much from them. People generally say you can't tell the difference at all anyway. Indy's are heavy as fuck. I know a couple of people who ride Tony Hawk's new truck company Theeves. I'll probably get them in the next two weeks and give them a go. They're getting a lot of reviews saying they're better than indys in all aspects. But all titanium :S? Sounds like another gimmick.

holy shit @ those bent thunders lmao

i pretty much ride thunder, indy, krux...anything except ventures because of the shitty design they have when you put them on/take them off.

i had tensors and idk, i just prefer something more solid feeling.

Skated some 129's the other day on my friends board. Shit is solid. It turns well and it's really stable. Buuuuut. I skated some Theeves and ended up getting a pair instead. Give them a go. I've got a couple of friends that skated Indy's for years but then moved to Theeve and claimed they're better.

I used to skate back in fresh/soph year of HS, but I quit since. Cause for some fucked up reason, I would always be inclined to sprain my ankle. After I healed from one, it would happen again just a month later lol. Does this happen to anyone else? I bought those ankle braces from Pro Tec, but it was hard to flick

my best deck yet has been: Krooked, Ricta, Thunder, Bones Reds
For shoes: Vans Chukka Low, Adidas Campus Vulc or a Blazer SB

Fave skaters: P Rod, Koston & Mike MO

what do you guys think of skating Blazer SB's? Hard to get used to I found.
