i'm a big pacman fan, but the whole weight issue, the gloves and his max. weight, I'm not sure about this fight, but manny is the king of pound for pound and de la hoya is old, so I'm 50-50 right now.

from ESPN

"Remember all those flush blows Steve Forbes landed on De La Hoya's face? Now imagine it being the faster, more powerful southpaw Pacquiao? All you haters out there: Lighten up."

only advantages that pac man got on de la hoya is his speed and age and the that fact that de la hoya is facing the one of the best southpaws in boxing and de la hoya always hard a hard time with southpaws.. PACMan FTW... but i only see him winning by decision not KO

This in all honesty is a lose-lose for DeLaHoya. If he loses then he looks like the wackest champ ever, even at 35 years of age. If he wins then all the experts will bring back how its his size and power over the smaller guy.

Manny will be the favorite in Vegas, so if DeLaHoya pulls it off then its big earnings for the betting type. I almost wish DeLa was the favorite cus then I would bet the house on Manny, knowing most likely that Manny would take this.

DeLa is too slow, and too old. Im a big DeLa Hoya fan but I don't think he's got what it takes to beat the greatest right now. To all the betters out there, bet smart, not with your heart

Pretty Boy MayWeather vs. PacMan would be epic If this was the case, MayWeather hands down, no questions asked

I hope Pac man's speed can knock de la ogg his game. De la has way more power no question. I like Manny, but would much rather have seen De La step his game up and take on Margarito.

gotta go for Pacman. i'd say it's gonna be a good fight. his last fight he didn't even break a sweat but i know he's gonna train harder for DH.

pacman will win, de la hoyas in it for the money, it's a win-win situation for de la hoya, if he lost he still gets the money, if he wins he still gets the money, for manny its different, idk why he would move to a bigger class when he's on his prime, but pacman will win.

^^^es la verdad

but one crucial point here: PAC is venturing into uncharted territory, DLH has been fighting at the welterweight divsion for a while now.

PAC is in for a huge sorpresa! thats for sure...watch

not really, its not like DLH is going into featherweight division. This is DLH is his domain, speed and power, yes PAC has some pop

but he will be slower after gaining weight plus DLH has only been knocked down a couple of times and only one ended for a knockout I ....everytime I saw PAC fight those past mexicans hes been knocked down or at least stunned and they had hardly any power.

imagine with DLH

its over.

wtf? you serious? idk about Pac's fights before his first fight vs. Marquez, but he didn't get knocked down ONCE. and his last fight against Diaz he didn't even break a sweat bro!!! he was even holding back so he can stay a couple rounds for the show. and everytime Pac has to gain or lose weight for a fight, he makes sure he stays at the top of his game, so i don't believe you when you say he'll be slower
