Equalled at United? Not necessarily, hold your horses with that one mate, especially as United are in a poor financial state

Why do people keep saying this? Despite the debt United is still one of the best run clubs on the planet, with the third highest rate of revenue. Unless you consider spending £50m on transfers a poor financial state.

2012: £50,000,000
2011: £52,900,000
2010: £27,200,000
2009: £21,000,000
2008: £35,750,000
2007: £61,750,000

Link for that?

And According to the Beeb you've got £423m debt, hence why shares were to be sold recently

I don't think thats a very well run club

If you want a well run club look at Arsenal. Sadly football now requires financial doping to guarantee victory

The club's debt stands at £423m (minus the cash reserve, so the debt itself is actually in the mid to high £300m). Floating it on the stock market is a bad idea especially in the current financial climate, but the main reason why they did it is to get a valuation of the club. I doubt they'd sell that few shares since the money they hoped to get from it was barely 15% of the debt. I wouldn't be surprised if they offered more shares to the public once the share prices have stabilized, and they eventually sell the club all together.

Can't believe that's the same Soton team that almost beat United.
United were boring as fuck against Wigan even though it ended 4-0, so damn hard to watch sometimes. Probably the best part of it was the fact that Butter and Powell had a good debut.

Yea to be honest theres nothing wrong with that, it was what I expected them to do - although they should of played it into the corner for a bit of corner flag assassin, instead of pumping it into the box.

Anderson, son, son
He's better than Kleberson.
Anderson, son, son
Our midfield magician.
To the left, to the right,
To the samba beat tonight,
He is class with the brass
And he shits on Fabregas!

As usual, United only playing well in one half.
Get shit on in the first half, come out swinging in the second after Fergie probably gave them an earful. Complacent as fuck.

Giggs shouldn't start against any of the top 15 teams.

Anderson, Fletcher, and Cleverley played well in mid week, dropped all of them smh.

At least Rooney is back. Fatman and Robin partnership just might work

Bit harsh on old Giggsy!

You can't honestly expect Fletcher to start against Spurs today, Cleverley though..

Harsh? Nah, it's reality. He doesn't have the legs anymore and it's been blatantly clear. He should have started the Cup game in midweek instead of this one. People overrate Giggs because:
1. Because he's 50. You don't expect players like him to be playing at that level at his age.
2. Sentiment. One of the best United players ever but that doesn't mean he can still cut it
You chuck Petrucci or Brady or anyone of the reserves players into the first team, they play just like Giggs does, and they won't get half as much credit for their performance.

If you look at the difference between the lineup today and the one that started in mid-week that one was a lot better. Anderson--Fletcher--Cleverley had pace, mobility, strength, and skill, and that performance was more like the classic United style.

The thing about Scholes is that if he can't control the game he isn't very effective. In the first half when they were getting overrun he was basically invisible, and the only time he really did anything is in the second half when Spurs dropped deeper and allowed him more time and space to pick out passes, most of which were long balls to the wings/up front (not like he had an option anyway). And there are certain games that he really shouldn't be starting in a 2 man midfield. And where the fuck was Carrick? I swear the commentator only mentioned his name twice during the entire match.
