BUMP

Chelsea has a new manager. Andres Villas Boas, who was a former Chelsea assistant Under Mourihno, and just coached FC porto to a treble, is now in charge. I'm happy, I think he'll do well. We just need some younger players to come in on transfer.
Jun 23, 2011 @ 14:52
He'll do very well if Abramovich gives him sufficient control, which I doubt he will.
Jun 23, 2011 @ 16:28
Exactly, that's always the problem it seems.

In other news, Man U just completed a transfer deal to get Ashley Young from Aston Villa.

Porto's striker Falcao said he might move to Chelsea to follow his coach, last thing we need is another striker, unless we get rid of Anelka and/or Drogba. Personally Torres should be sold, but that will never happen.

Chelsea needs some young, up and coming midfield players more than another striker. N'zgobia would be a good buy.

I can see Man City winning next seasons title, money will buy them happiness

why the fuck did abromavich get rid off ancelotti, he did amazingly well, he got silverware this season aswell!! Abromavich is brutal, i guess he has the money so... but villas boas, i dont see what he'll do better, his managin players the same age as him...we'll see, im more concerned with mcleish at the Villa though, guy better have a great first season, cus we already dont want him.
Jul 01, 2011 @ 16:07
It's gonna cost waaaaaay more than that! A bigger club BUYS your manager that took your club through an undefeated season, and now you're gonna let them buy the players that brought such success. EL OH EL

Edit.
I'm HOPING that Fergie lands either Nasri and/or Sneijder. We desperately need that spark from Central Midfield. I'm also afraid we need Lassana Diarra to not only cover for Fletcher, but to possibly play along side him to add energy and relieve defensive duties to our creative midfielder.

don't think we'll get Sneijder unless we over pay for him which I doubt will happen. The only players to fill that position I feel we can get are lesser know ones but none come to mind right now
Jul 02, 2011 @ 02:54
^That's because very few exist that can be bought. Sneijder's wages are too much for an English club other than Chelsea. Nasri is the ONLY option.
Jul 02, 2011 @ 14:43
watch rooney play the central midfield role this season, he'll be beast to
Jul 02, 2011 @ 17:25
^whose gonna be our CF? Or will we be playing 4-4-2 again this season?
Jul 02, 2011 @ 23:15

The players that are the same age as him were around when he worked under Mourinho. He'll be alright with Di Matteo returning to the bridge, by his side. No need for Porto strikers, or any more strikers.
Jul 03, 2011 @ 02:13
yayy Arsenal!!! sell all our good players, replace them with mediocre players. I know Wenger has a good track record but the man can't seem to win...time for a replacement
Jul 03, 2011 @ 02:24
as long as wenger is in charge arsenal will be a top 4 finisher... winning the league ain't all that great anymore, champions league is the ideal prize nowadays

^whose gonna be our CF? Or will we be playing 4-4-2 again this season?

to be honest i'm not sure what we'll be doing, my ideal set would be a 4-2-3-1

And you think Arsenal could win CL if they aren't able to win PL?
Jul 03, 2011 @ 13:21
lol anyways^^

I guess after 19 titles it gets boring to win.
Jul 03, 2011 @ 22:03
you guys would honestly take premier league trophy over champions league? come on now... if you had to choose one of the 3 major trophies, everyone of yall would go with champions league

I wasn't saying that. I was saying that argument holds no water since Arsenal will never win the CL unless they are able to contend for the PL.

Basically, they will have to be winning the PL before the CL

Whether it's 19 times or one, it feels great whenever your team/club wins it all after a long season. Even with a team like the Lakers, they've got 17 titles, but won five in the last decade, each one felt good every time.

How was it not great winning the league? Your boys had a new kid come on that performed well, and Scholes/VDS left with a title. Don't say you brushed off title number 19, even when you passed Liverpool.
Jul 04, 2011 @ 03:32
I would go for the Prem every single time, I know I'm an anomaly here - but to me winning the CL is like a bonus, the Prem will always be the bread and butter.

LOL @ me talking like even that's possible right now...
Jul 04, 2011 @ 11:35
I'd go for the premiership almost every time also, especially last year.
Jul 05, 2011 @ 06:20
Very random but seeing as a few of you guys are from the UK, anyone in London able to help me with a pick up this week? In particular need something bought for me this Thursday close by to Brick Lane / E1 6QL area - happy to give you a little extra on the side or send you something to show my appreciation.
Jul 05, 2011 @ 14:14
Manchester United has the ultimate ambitions. We go for every trophy available. All of them equally special at the end of the season (won in the same year of course ;o)
Jul 08, 2011 @ 01:09
Black Cats stacking up their squad.
