Lol @ all this hatred, all I said was United will never go the whole season unbeaten, which is true.

Also, yesterday's capitulation aside, we still gained a point on United. It wasn't actually that bad, United lost and we drew.

This whole 6 years without a trophy talk won't end even when we do win the carling cup, then it will become 6 years without a substantial trophy. If we win the FA cup it will become 7 years without a REAL trophy. If we win the prem it will be "they've never won the CL"

You're absolutely correct. When Arsenal become a European dynasty with over 15 league titles and at least a couple CL trophies, then you can talk. But until then, enjoy playing.

I'm not trying to bash. I love watching Arsenal. They're actually exciting to watch, sometimes I cringe when I'm watching Man utd (granted they aren't as bad as Chelsea or liverpool).

Anyone else catch the Liverpool v. Chelsea game? Torres had a shit debut game. I think over time though, he'll get adjusted to playing for Chelsea.
IMO, I think he should have left the EPL.

liverpool tactics were good, but playing against your old teammates is pretty hard they know all your tendencies, strengths and weaknesses. No one was expecting him to do well Chelsea's main goal is the champions league, this is why they got torres.

Arsenal are far from exciting to watch, they're frustrating at best looking for that final perfect pass which they don't find 9 times out of 10.

But they move the ball around well... Its not like every other EPL team that resorts to kicking it up to the big man when they can't think of anything else

that wasn't very coherent.

but yeah, I'd say most english teams do that. EPL has always been a more long ball game. I think arsenal is perfect, they move the ball around well, but will get in behind the defence too. Not like Barca where you are forced to watch 10 minute build ups.

Arsenal will definitely use a long ball once in a while. Barca doesn't. Obviously barca gets in behind the defense with a small 5-10 yard through ball, but nothing more than that usually.

I was saying you've got them mixed up because of the "Not like Barca where you are forced to watch 10 minute build ups." Whereas I think it's the other way round, Barca will regularly look for the penetrating pass through to Villa/Messi but I feel that whenever I watch Arsenal they just pass it round the edge of the box looking for the perfect opportunity for 5 minutes.

Barca - They have all those strong forwards, so they can take whatever route they want. They usually work up field, play it short, and wait for that good through ball for Messi or Villa, and let them finish it off.
Arsenal - Their mid and defense is their strong point, but they don't have any powerful strikers. So they have to take their time and set it up. I feel like they do more than they should though.

But arsenal just kick it to walcott in space with 20 yards. I never see villa or messi running onto balls that are 20 yards ahead of them. their through balls are after a series of passes through xavi and iniesta. arsenal just get it to fabregas, then through to persie or walcott

Had a massive laugh about this piece of "news"

www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3397927/Chelsea-plot-50m-summer-swoop-for-Cesc-Fabregas.html

Hoping we can get Guus back at the Bridge, even if he's not managing.

lmao, barcelona is 10000000x more fun to watch than the whole boring epl, barcelona playing at 50percent against atletico on saturday >> that boring chelsea v liverpool game on sunday, top english teams, yeah, they can't even pass the ball

^Barcelona only have to play at 50% each week because of how uncompetitive the league is. La Liga's a glorified SPL.

You obviously missed the other matches then. Newcastle/Arsenal was full of heat, and I was expecting United to come back as always against Wolves. Liverpool had their players all over Torres like JT on a wag. Spurs scoring late, Wigan over Blackburn. All of this was way more exciting than the Super Bowl that went down.

Even playing La Liga in FIFA is weak.

I... I realize that. Thats why I said I enjoy watching arsenal and barca, although I prefer arsenal to barca because to me, they take more chances.

And like everyone else said, La liga is nothing compared to EPL. EPL has 5 Solid team, Liga has 2. English teams may lack the creativity spanish teams have, but they more than make up for it in athleticism and tactics.

Trust me you'd see a lot more teams playing the Barca style of football in the prem if the defenses and tactics were as bad across the league.

that and if EPL teams had good enough players to emulate Barcelona. Arsenal would be the team i would say is good enough but after seeing them get mauled by Barcelona last year, i don't think there is a team out there to do so. (Maybe UTD if Scholes/Giggs were 10 years younger)

Enjoy your Sunny SPL.Chelsea v Liverpool was shit because Liverpool played with three center backs, and just worked on closing down Chelsea(It worked very well),nothing interesting happened. The day before there were like 41 goals in the Premier League.Watch the Arsenal/Newcastle game(Drake was playing),a real quality match not any of that Messi getting hattricks against shit tier teams like Levante who give up the day before the game is even played shit.Beside Barca and Real there is no quality other than individual players.Wolves will probably get relegated from the Prem but would probably finish in a Europa league spot in La Liga. The Bundesliga is far superior to La Liga.

lol i know that. Obviously, no team is as good as Barcelona right now. What i was trying to say was their playing style is something that no team in the EPL can copy because no one has a good enough squad to do so.

not any of that Messi getting hattricks against shit tier teams like Levante who give up the day before the game is even played shit.

You do know that Levante was the only team other than Barcelona to beat (so far) Real Madrid this season right?

You do know that when "shit tier teams" play against Barcelona/Real Madrid that they're trying their best to beat them right? (Hercules v. Barcelona. Real Sociedad(9/18/10)/Levante v. Real Madrid)

EPL>>La Liga though.

Thought that was Osasuna? Not sure.I don't really have much interest in La Liga despite living here though.I watch the Highlights and the big matches. To be fair there are quite a few team I like for example Valencia,Atletico and Espanyol. But I think the competition in La Liga is a bit weak other than maybe Valencia and Villareal. There aren't as many top teams as there is the EPL atm.I'm going to be fair though,Barca and Real are the best 2 teams in the world right now.Just don't agree that La Liga is more fun to watch than the EPL aside from Barca.

They are still winning most games, scoring lots of goals.Ronaldo scores nearly every match for them, just because they are not as good Barca and slipped on a few Banana skins doesn't mean they aren't a top team.Second best in the world is probably a stretch now I think about it though. They are miles ahead of Chelsea anyway,we are a few years away from being great again.
