5x's a week, hate doing it, but the results are addicting. I wear nikes. Best running shoes imo.

The best running brand is either Mizuno, Brooks, or Asics. Saucony and Adidas are close behind, with Nike having a few choices in the group. The reason for that is because Nike is more about looks rather than performance/technicality so the shoes are heavier and all that (except for the Pegasus, Free, and Moire). The Shox and the likes are more for cross-training.

^^I used to run a bit and used Mizuno waverunners (i think that was the model) which are awesome and widely considered amongst the best running kicks.

I recommend going to your local running store, and they should fit you with something geometrically similar to your foot. I run in Adidas and they're perfect. 3 miles 4x/week

I just ran the Baltimore 10 Miler today; shit was hot/hard. My time was 1:30. I've just been getting back into running now; doing 4-5 miles everyday at 7 PM. I'm going to be out this week because of wisdom teeth surgery so I'm just trying to get back. After I'm done with the pain, I'll be doing off-season running with the high-school XC team. I run in Adidas Supernova Cushion.

Yep.

I have always loved Nike as a running shoe. They have the best fit for my foot, compared to any other brand. My dad who is also an avid runner wore everything from NB, Saucony, Adidas, etc. and when he tried NIke he said it was the best shoe he had ever worn. This is the shoe I wear right now, and I love it. Fairly cheap too.

Well, six-pack doesn't really come from just running, right? Though it does play a huge part.

You gotta follow a healthy diet. Some people are born with that fast metabolism.

diet is everything.... running would come in second with actually doing ab workouts last. technically you already have a 6 pack under your fat so working it out WOULD make it bigger but not like....so much to where you can eat whatever you wanted..unless you have a crazy metabolism

but make sure you have some VERY VERY good running shoes. and also running on grass or the treadmill is best. one summer i lost 35 lbs running about 2.5 miles a day (mon-fri). bad thing is, all i ran on was concrete around my neighborhood and ran in some nike basketball shoes.....now my knees are fucked up and if i run 2 days in a row i get fluid buildup in my left knee and i get all these aches. was it worth it losing all that weight? FUCKING RIGHT haha

^ Thats actually really good too. I read somewhere(dont know if its true) that slower paces consistent paces are more beneficial for fat burning, and running at a faster pace is moe for calorie burning.

XC Runner
I'm training for the upcoming XC and track seasons. My workouts consist of 4 mile runs a day for a week and by the end of summer we should be averaging 30-40 miles a week. I personally run in asics and think they are the best. But the best way to determine what type of shoe would fit your running style the best would be to go to a local running store. The people working there would be able to not only determine your running style (under/over/regular pronator) but also your proper foot width and size.

yeah man you gotta run on the right terrain
at school my coach would make us run around the neighbourhood on the sidewalk and after a couple blocks my knees would literally start clicking at every step. gravel/grass is for me

in close season, i do regular running. about 4 miles 4 times a week. when i have soccer, rugby or athletics training i tend to go for one, maybe two, because im doing enough exercise as it is.

when it comes to long distance track i do poorly 'cause we run on grass and when i run the town its all concrete. our track is seriously shit though, rabbit holes and crap in it.

I run 1.5-2.0 miles Monday-Friday. It's pretty sweet. It's gotten to the point where I feel like I need to run. There's nothing better than having a healthy lifestyle.

I run track and cross country, but I run for fun during the winter. there's nothing better than coming inside after a run in the cold.
