Being an ambidextrous skidder and getting double the number of patches only happens when the chainring/sprocket is an even number like 45, not 46.


huh? 46 is and even number. And it has nothing to do with if the chain ring is odd or even numbered. It has to do with how the fraction reduces.

Examples:

44/16 simplifies to 11/4, so there would be 4 skid patches.

45/15 simplifies to 3/1 so there would only be 1 skid patch.

42/15 simplifies to 14/5, so there would be 5 skid patches.

43/15 can't be further simplified, so there would be 15 skid patches.

This is based on the assumption that you always skid with the same foot forward.

If you are an ambidextrous skidder, and the simplified ratio has an even numerator or denominator, your number of skid patches will be the same.

If you are an ambidextrous skidder, and both the numerator and denominator are odd, the number of possible skid patches will be doubled.



So 46/16 would reduce to 23/8 which makes 8 skid spots, 16 if you're ambidextrous. And stop telling people that leaders are good.

i was buying a new frame from them a while back and they said everything else besides the headset could be swapped onto the new frame. they didn't tell me that the headtube was going to be a lot shorter causing me to buy a new fork too.

they also charged way too much for shipping.

that being said i won't be buying anything else from them ever again.

yeah it is a chub hub. a guy that worked at the dark room at usc had one of those. it is supposed to create a stronger wheel by having a shorter spoke length.

i hate you tim. although I gotta ask, what do you do with so many track bikes? I have a track bike and a time trial bike. I have a hard time getting on both but both bikes are different enough to warrant me wanting to ride one over the other. I can't imagine choosing which bike to ride when they are essentially the same(steel track bikes).

it's definitely not, they're super light and tough, anodizing on em is great and made of a single piece of alloy.

i also got each for less than half msrp lolol

Yeah thats my friends bike. I actually sold off all my frames. All i have now is the broakland. Im ready for a rode bike

lol yeah. thats actualy my next purchase. I wanted to finish my broakland first (which is done now)

They very well do, but I am a kid with a minimum wage job so I am just trying to keep it nice and cheap. I am sure we both love our bikes so that's what matters.
