horizontal tt's do look much better than sloping ones. pursuit or slight pursuit style tt's take the cake tho blushing

aight fasho. just getting into it. still learning. hard living in atlanta, not many people are into fixies and there are so many slopes and hills.

wait, you're rocking ellipses but you think its a dumb idea to get a different faceplate to fit a set of 26mm bars? You must have almost stole those

i think it's dumb to buy a different faceplate that still won't quite fit 26.0 bars instead of just buying a diff 26.0 stem.

and i definitely bought these.

possible price/interest check?

Black Velocity Deep V
Frontal, Laced 3X
Suzue Pro Max Hub
Silver Spokes / Silver Hub

help a braddah out, trying to flip this.

also how much should i be paying for a stock velocity/formula 650c frontal + 700c rear wheelset ? 290 too steep?

it fits. The picture of one that was cracked thats been running around online is because the dude was tricking with it. Thomson isn't even known for making track parts, they're meant for guys who ride MTB.

and julian, no. thats way too much for a deep-v/formula set. unless its new it shouldn't go for more than 150. If its new and some one is building it for you, then its not that bad.
Jan 07, 2010 @ 23:03
fuck. figured.
i'm trying to get rid of both of these wheels, unless i can manage to fix whatever is loose on my frontal (whether it be the bearings, spacers, or the actual hub itself)

i found a rear velocity deep for 120 with lock cog tire so i'll just get that, but any price range on a black velocity 650? around the same price?

i haven't seen a picture of it but a dude told me that his faceplate cracked after using it for a year (26.0 in 25.4 stem). it'll fit, but it's still not gonna fit perfectly unless you ream out the other side of the stem to 26.0.

i don't know what track parts has to do with anything, but many track racers use thomson stems on their bikes because of how stiff they are.

Can you remove handlebar tape and put it on a another bike?
Jan 16, 2010 @ 22:04
nah.
Jan 17, 2010 @ 16:04
depends on the tape. fizik has adhesive on the back, but some stuff is reusable.

I dont like the seating position of my bike, I would like to sit more upright. I like holding the bars up higher instead of in the crouched down position. Will getting flat bars help that out at all?
Jan 18, 2010 @ 10:03
um not really, track bikes are meant to be rode like that so youd have to slam seat and get fatty risers?
