So close to finishing my bike! Finally finished painting my frame/fork, got my wheels all set up, got my crank/pedals put together, got my stem connected to my bar, and all i need is a bottom bracket and a screw to hold my seat post up!

its always easier to skid with a bigger gear. I have a 19t and I don't even have to get out of the saddle to skid.

the closer you get to 1:1, the easier it'll be to skid. I've ran a 46 and a 48. It'll be pretty easy for you to skid with a 17t cog.

you should be fine with a 17t.
