yea for the time being. my skid skills still need some work. plus i have some cheap rubber on the back wheel and i don't want to wear it down so fast skidding. i'm still a cheap college student at heart.

I ripped my rear Kenda tire today after 2 days of riding, and it took my tube with it. Then I pinched a tube while I was carelessly trying to fix it, and then rode on my rim for a couple hundred feet, then finally got a brake for 20 bucks, it stops on a damn dime, I love it. I am content with today, but just wow.

Wow man, ripped a tire already? Too much skidding? Sounds like a helluva day, but at least you had fun.

It was an awesome day, but skidding on asphalt w/ shit tires isn't smart, what should I get as far as the back tire goes?

I have heard:
-Armadillo
-Soma Everwears
-Gator Skins

Anything that just shits on all the rest?

Sorry for double post. Wouldn't let me edit for some reason.

The most basic and essential "trick" to learn is how to slowdown especially if you're not using a brake (which I firmly believe everyone should, but that's just me). Skidding, skip stops, track stands should be at the top of your list before all the flashy stuff smile

make sure to learn seated/whip skids.

skidding with your nuts over the bar doesnt do shit to help stop you.

lil fuzzy picture, but you get it. formerly booduh's frame/fork combo.

rd2 cranks, plan to go 75 once summer comes around and double toe straps. 48/18 fulltime. need new saddle, DO NOT BUY the bontrager.

h+son 3x to dimension in rear, aero in front.

I hate Armadillos...I dunno they're just super bulky. I had an Everwhere for awhile but the sidewall blew out so I'm kinda wary about them now. Right now I'm actually running a Gator; it's definitely not as durable as either of the other two, but it handles a lot better than the other two and seems faster, so as long as you can skip stop you're golden.

Lefty, H+Son is so sex. What happened to the Spinergy? Did it explode in into a million pieces in your eye?

Okay, thanks for all the info I will keep researching, but @ whoever just got the Vittorias^^^ tell me how well they ride once you put a couple hundred miles on em, and do a couple skids! cool

The default rear cog on a Kilo TT is 16T, I swear I counted 17T, but if it is 16T I am gonna be upset, because that means I only have one skid patch! I need to buy a 17T, because 17 skid patches compared to 1 is just obvious which one I should have.
