Word of advice from my experience with the Mercier, get a new seat or a cushion to put on top of it because that shit is so uncomfortable haha, but overall i love the bike though

I know someone here can help me out..
I picked this up the other day because i'm starting to get into biking, but I found out these are airless tires and used for track racing and so are the wheels.. i'm going to keep the wheels on for now and getting some tubes and tires so the ride isnt rough. One of my friends that knows a little says i could fit 23 or even 25's on there and maybe i could get some preference between the two.. but I was wondering if those would fit with the wheels and everything.. it has 20's on it now. oh and it has the holes in the wheels for the tubing air or whatever just in case you were wondering.. I'd appreciate any opinions smile

i'll by the wheels off you if you wanna sell em. you can't put tubes and tires on those wheels. they're tubular wheels, meaning they glue the tire directly onto the wheel. you need to buy a set of clincher wheels if you wanna run tubes and tires.

also: what stubby antenna is that?

o_O why is your drive side on left side? you should cop some bar tape/ grips and foot retention.

everyone's ass is different, but i like my turbo seat.

I just ordered a new saddle so that will take a little of the roughness out.. but i think I'm going to keep those wheels on for now and get a new wheelset later on. Might sell them down the road but it's nice knowing you won't get a flat riding with them.

It's just the stock antenna cut to a stubby. I was cheap at the time smile

I left my pump at my old house and my chain lube so I need to do that, and cut that seat tube. Here it is though.

o ok. you can still get a flat with tubulars btw. but instead of having to replace just the tube, you'll have to replace the whole tire.

haha nice.

Appreciate the info.. Just curious, what would you offer for 'em?

ill have to think about that haha.

as for the rack

yakima:

control tower - 165
landing pad 11 - 35 x 2
48" crossbars - 80
wheel fork - 40
copperhead - 100
44" fairing - 80

i used to have 2 copperheads until i ran into my garage and destroyed one [and the crossbars and a landing pad -__-]. the prices are for new parts and you can definitely find everything cheaper on craigslist, just make sure you know you're getting the right parts.
