ending, but the training I got from riding fixed for years definitely helped my strength now. Why can't you ride both or just one and why can't they coexist?

I do the majority of my commuting and riding under 10 miles on my track bike. I race competitively and do most of my longer rides on my road bike. Hell...as long as people are out on a bike what does it matter what kind of bike it is...

ive been cycling my entire life and ive been into fixed gears for a while now and i think i wanna pull the trigger i think i might just buy a fully built/customized one from somewhere like bigshotbikes.com or something suggestions?? its just for casual riding just to ride around town and shit... it seems like people get to talking how its difficult to learn to ride/ stop on a fixed gear and as a kid thats all i had was fixed gear bikes so i dont understand haha can somenbody help me out here??

You probably didn't have a fixie as a kid, it was a single-speed with a coaster brake...I don't honestly believe you've been into cycling you're entire life...but anyway you could get a Mercier Kilo TT for less.

no... that would be a fixed gear. And once you skid 50 feet put a video up. I'd be interested in seeing this.

You can skid with a coaster brake but you cant pedal backwards. I dont think its possible to skid 50 feet on a fixed gear unless your going downhill and have a retardedly easy gear ratio.

Picked up the Fuji Track Pro on Nashbar. Dirt cheap despite the risk of receiving the "flawed" model. Gonna be nice to have a fixed gear again.

Just checked that out. There's got to be a catch right? If you can convince me, I might have to buy one myself

The only downside is you dont know what model you're gonna get. The model that is "Flawed" which can only accept 44t max or the modified crimped chain stay version. Either way it's a good deal. If I end up with the flawed version I'll just run 44x13
