Man the Hawks signed midget PF Paul Millsap to a 2-yr $19 mill contract. Please tell me that we plan on having that nigga come off the bench cause I'm tired of having a oompa loompa front court with Horford playing the 5.

Houston will not win championship this coming season. Maybe the season after. Stern wants Heat to 3-peat anyways

I think the Lakers are actually better without Dwight, considering D'Antoni's offense needing just one center which I think Pau fits that mold well. If Kobe can recover early enough and if Nash can stay healthy throughout most of the year, I think they could make a decent run in the playoffs.
July 07, 2013 @ 00:27:31
wtf is the lakers doing tho...
they did it to shaq, should have traded kobe and kept dwight for the future. they aint gonna make the finals anyways, might as well retain the best center in the game, and tank. Hopefully get wiggins or parker next year. i just dont understand, especially since that achilles tear can fuck him over like it did to isiah thomas. i just dont think it was worth to lose dwight over kobe.

Speights replaced for Landry, bandwagoners actually think this is bad... Smh.
July 15, 2013 @ 20:03:11

Doesn't matter who is. It'll be just another money hungry Jew. The NBA right now needs a "dynasty" that generates money and "new" fans worldwide. NBA was always WWE scripted.

lol kobe would never be down for that. but yea, if they're sucking bad enough to be a first round ko, then they should just go for the lottery
July 25, 2013 @ 21:41:27
even if they tank i doubt the lakers will get the 1st pick
tanking is stupid for the lakers. They get most of their better players through free agency, not drafting

My garbage can eats better than 99% of the world.

This year's draft is one of the deepest in a long time. There's Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Smart, Harrison twins, etc. And with Kobe coming off a major injury and going into his 18th season this year, I think it's time the Lakers started thinking about the future of the franchise.

I think it's safe to say that the Brooklyn Nets came out as winners in that Melo trade.

Manhattan hicks gonna lose Melo in FA and I love it!

this team has the potential to win a championship or two, but they wont win because of the lack of discipline, they're too distracted by bullshit. they have 11 potential starters but they cant manage to make it to the finals.

The NBA is back in action and the manhattan hicks owner who happens to be shorter than a mexican, expects his hicks to win the title this year

NEW YORK -- Not many pundits believe the New York Knicks can win the NBA title this season.

But team owner and Madison Square Garden executive chairman James Dolan expects them to do so.

In a recent meeting with the coaching staff and some team executives, Dolan said he believes the Knicks have enough talent to win a title and that he expects them to do so this season, league sources with knowledge of the owner's message during the meeting confirmed.

Our expert panel predicts the win-loss records for all 30 teams. East | West

"He told them he believes they have enough talent to win it all," one source said, "and he expects it to happen this year."

The Knicks won 54 games last season, finished in second place in the Eastern Conference and won a playoff series for the first time in 13 years.

But many teams in the upper crust of the conference improved in the offseason.

The Chicago Bulls have 2010-11 league MVP Derrick Rose back after he missed last season following ACL surgery. The Brooklyn Nets added veteransPaul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to a deep roster, and the Indiana Pacers -- who defeated the Knicks in the second round of the playoffs -- added Luis Scola and expect to have forward Danny Granger back.

Due largely to salary-cap restrictions, the Knicks had a quiet offseason relative to those teams. They added 7-foot sharpshooter Andrea Bargnani, re-signed reigning Sixth Man Award winner J.R. Smith and signed free agents Metta World Peace and Beno Udrih.

Based on those offseason moves, many NBA pundits predict that the Knicks will finish no higher than fifth in the East.

That's why, according to sources, Dolan's expectations left some staffers in the meeting with an uneasy feeling.

"A few people were a bit surprised, taken aback. But he's the owner. He has a right to expect it," one source said.

For what it's worth, Knicks coach Mike Woodson has said several times that he thinks the Knicks have enough talent to compete for a title. But Dolan's expectation could put additional pressure on the coach, the players and team executives this season.

An added layer to Dolan's title expectation is that the owner wanted to employ younger players at the end of the roster.

According to sources with knowledge of the team's thinking, Dolan directed the front office to keep younger players with the final roster spots so that they can develop within the organization.

Some members of the team's hierarchy had hoped to keep veteran players in the last three roster spots, particularly if the expectation is for the Knicks to win now.

Ultimately, New York kept three training camp invitees on the 15-man roster: 23-year-old guard Toure' Murry, 26-year-old guard Chris Smith, the younger brother of J.R. Smith, and 24-year-old center Cole Aldrich. They cut 30-year-old veteran forwards Ike Diogu and Josh Powell.
