yeah maybe you're right.....it just sucked ...seeing him get ko'd by that idiot gonzaga...and made me lose all hope after his most recent loss against kongo...

anyways, you watching UFC 76 tonight?


Dude, I hated to watch those fights to see him there, but you know how it is sometimes. :/

Yeah, I definetely ordered it, I just havent been on in such a long time I havent posted yet. I definetely thought Shogun was going to win, but I actually put money on Forrest because I knew he had a decent shot. And about Chuck.... idk.

I don't like/dislike either fighter, but I think Timmy wins this fight - and I am kinda suprised he goes into this fight as underdog.

Also, I see no way that Franklin can beat Anderson. I expect another brutal finish probably in the second or third.

I've always been a fan of Vera, but I think I dislike Sylvia more than I like Vera. I don't know what it is, maybe he just reminds me of some of the rednecks around here. Something about him shouting out Joe's Tire Barn(or whatever the hell) brings it all together for me. I'm not hating on dudes skills, but I enjoy watching him get his ass beat.

I think that over 90% of the MMA community would agree with you. I dunno, I guess I sympathize for Timmy a bit, he finishes fights, and before he became all defensive with the belt, he had some exciting fights.

I got to say, at the moment I am not very hyped for '77, I see a very average card indeed.

believe me, brandon vera is going to win. He hasnt fought in a while because they werent going to give him a title shot when he was deserving because it was his last fight on his deal so they didnt want him to win then bounce because he was talking about leaving this is the last fight on his deal, he wants big bucks so hes gonna kill it. i think he was sitting next to me at the TUF finale as a sidenote.

^ seriously, in MMA what you did in the past really dont matter. A MMA fight could go either way regardless of past accomplishments.

Look at Crocop, pretty dominant in Japan, has lost 2 straight fights in the ufc. Shogun, considered a top light heavyweight contender, lost his last fight. That being said, who knows what will happen in the Chuck v. Wandy fight. Both are coming off back to back losses anyways.

First of all, I cant really see this fight happening, and second, I can't see Chuck winning it. Wandy is a beast, and im not even a fan of the guy.

I bet they did this just to get Couture to come back...id seriously like to see what Lesnars contract looks like.
Its funny that all these guys that havent really proved themselves in the UFC get these huge contracts and havent lived up to them, while the homegrown talents contracts look like shit.

Anderson man, he's the most exciting fighter in the UFC for me, another dominant performance.

.. that gash on Starnes head was sick, did you hear the doctor? "I can see his skull!" .. damn.

And please, no more Gurgel on a main card, keep him for Fight Nights or send him over to the WEC.

The card was stronger than I expected to be honest.

Silva needs a big name thrown at him because everyone that he has fought so far are getting destroyed.

As far as Brock Lesnar is concern, i think it's a great signing. If i were the UFC, i'll throw cans at him and build him up from there on. The potential on this guy is scary. Can you imagine chocking this guy out with his massive neck? The guy so far has been training with Royce Gracie and Pat Militech. Not bad at all, they just gotta give him time.

Henderson said he doesn't want to drop to 185lb, I would love to see Henderson-Silva, but I think there is little chance.
I guess Henderson doesn't want to have to deal with the cut at his age either, and he feels that he's good enough at 205.

I don't know, I dislike the idea of Lesnar.
He should of made more fights with a smaller organization, he will now get fed cans due to his large marketing ability. I was pretty suprised to read he did some work down at MFS - considering he could be a future opponent for big Timmah!

The fighters the UFC really should have signed would have immediatley bolstered some of their least developed weight classes.

Fedor=HW dominance?

Denis Kang=Dana, you are an idiot for not even attempting to sign him. Kang could come in and immediatley challenge Silva for the strap.

Takanori Gomi=Because of Steroid Shark's impending court ruling, this exciting division has gone into limbo. But think about it, bringing in Gomi to go up against the likes or BJ Penn, Ken-Flo, Huerta and Stevenson...this would be the best division in all of mma.

i want to see Couture vs Noguiera... it would be interesting match before couture decides to retire (he still got 2 fights with ufc)

he wants to fight fedor but his contract wont let him

i have a feeling that fedor and couture match will happen in the future because the organization fedor is in which is M-1 and they dont care who he fights as long as he fights it doesnt matter on contrast UFC fuckin' dana white doesnt know how to bring MMA to global sports...

* UFC rules advantage wrestlers and ju jit su practioners because u cant knee to their heads when they tackle the opponent... also about why does UFC less exciting than UFC because in UFC rules, u could use elbows then it just becomes "hugging" game whole round eventually one of them will get a bad cut on their face so refree stops...

I don't normally comment on fighter pay, but I found this unreasonable.

* Anderson Silva ($120,000) def. Rich Franklin ($45,000)
* Tim Sylvia ($200,000) def. Brandon Vera ($100,000)

Franklin put them asses in the seats for that event, and he gets paid less for losing than Vera? Geez, I hope Franklin got a nice under the table payment from the UFC - no wonder it took so long for Brandon to re-negotiate his contact!
