Question: Would you rather have risers on or off?
I just thought about this because I've noticed most ppl use risers. Do they really make that much of a difference?

I think people get a little messed up with the whole "drag your foot up" thing. Don't try too hard to drag, just pop the tail, jump and LIFT YOUR LEGS UP, level them out in midair and then just put your feet down above the bolts (hopefully). The dragging with happen automatically, if you try and drag you end up pushing the board away or too far foreward. Same goes for kick/heel flips.
There's really only one way to learn, and thats by trying it over and over.
It's like riding a bike, its a feeling you need for yourself, and no amount of explanation can really make you understand. I found it easier (if i remember correctly) learning to ollie up curbs and not just on flat ground. Make sure you are moving and not standing still. Oh, and stay over the board.
Okay not very updated with Boards, but i used to ride Platinum boards or Zoo York, for the Pop, but if your new and want a slightly lighter board, go with Girl Decks + Venture Trucks (they last long and are reasonably light)
If you want a more solid set up, go for some Independent Trucks, fucking industructable...
As for the grinding part, i used to use Surf Boarders "Sex Wax" on ledges to help make it slightly easier to grind...
But you might want to wait for some one who is actually still skating to answer your questions since as i said before, its been about 8 years since i last skated...
eS.... hahaha nyjah houston.. cool lil man
