Running miles every night helped me out these past few weeks.

But I can't seem to get the six-pack I want. Anybody have any six-pack aimed exercises that are productive and show results quickly?

(Of course, I'm not asking for a six-pack within days.)

DIET!!..ive been dieting for about 4 months now and i shed most of the little fat that i had on my stomach..now my abs are visable...i went from 175 to 163..i dont really like feeling so slim but just seeing my abs is worth it..i can still max 275 so its all good..

and for whoever wanted to get toned..you dont have to build up muscle first then cut it..just go to the gym and the muscle will come while your getting toned..

Eating ramen 3 times a day is like eating a Mcdonalds meal three times a day.

Here are some tips to losing weight WITHOUT exercising:

1. Drink as much water as possible. Just constantly sip on some water throughout the entire day. I'd allow some juice here and there but throw any ideas of drinking coke out the window. That shit kills you.

2. Eat 6 meals a day. That's right SIX. Spread it out evenly throughout the day. Eat every 2 hours-ish. Only eat to you are SATISFIED and not FULL. This way you'll never be hungry throughout the day, but also never be full. No fried foods. No chips/cookies/icecream. Look for things high in protein/fiber/vitamins. Only take enough carbs for enough energy to get through your day. Snack on fruit/yogurt/smoothies/nuts (not from jamba juice, they're not that healthy at all).

3. Don't eat past 7 PM.

4. Sleep early so you don't have to battle cravings every 30 minutes.

5. Wake up early and eat a good breakfast. Dinner every night should be your smallest meal.

Do this everyday consistently and you'll start seeing results within a week. Allow yourself a few "cheat meals" or you'll go crazy craving certain things. After you get past the first couple weeks, everything becomes habit and after you see results it'll only make you want to continue this. You wake up every morning feeling alot better too.

For faster results add cardio exercises. Search HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) on google.

What would be like a normal 6 meals for you, what do these meals mostly consist of daily?

^ I think he meant fruits and things of that sort. Also, the six meals shouldn't be overdone, and leave you dead out full after you eat.

I'm gonna follow kidkorea's advice, along with my swim coach's, and see how far I can get. I've already quit drinking juices, including OJ and AJ. It's only milk and water now, 4 and 8 glasses, respectively.

(Correct me if I'm wrong on my advice, kidkorea.)

Did you feel/see a difference after you gave up juice.

I stopped drinking soda and I'm gonna try to give up juices and mainly drink Water and WU-Yi tea.

^ Yeah, I just started a week ago. I sometimes have cravings for OJ, but I keep it to just water.

But yes, I do feel somewhat of a difference. A couple more days, and I'll be able to tell you.

i have a friend who was skinny throughout HS and started lifting during college... he was still skinny but had good definition (nomo)... anyway didnt see him for a while and now he's gotten bigger... he said that the lifting helped, but he essentially had to eat his way to his size... instead of doing the 6 meal plan ur friend should do the 3 big meals, and preferably the last one should be late (around 9-10) so that the food doesnt break down so quickly as he sleeps

got any tips for gaining weight muscle?

I went on this crazy protein shake diet during high school. Lost alot of weight and bulked up immensely. It wasn't really healthy though but it did get me really cut up:

1. Woke up early for a run before school and had a protein shake for breakfast.

2. For lunch I would eat 2 slices of whole wheat bread with some turkey.

3. Dinner was a protein shake after an hour or two at the gym lifting heavy weights.

Everyday I would offcycle heavy weights and light weights. Ex: Monday - Heavy weights/less reps, Tuesday - light weights/more reps. The heavy weights bulked me up and the light weights got my muscles cut up real quick.

Throughout the day you can munch on some fruit, yogurt, health bars, and nuts. But again this is more of a like crash diet, build mass and get cut kinda thing. Overall you will lose alot of fat and get a nice body but health wise it isn't good at all. I did this for about 3 months straight and couldn't take eating protein shakes for breakfast/dinner everyday and stopped.

If you wanna lose weight and bulk up. Combine my first post on this thread w/ my second post. Basically use my first post and just add the weight lifting component to it and you'll be good.

Oh and the most important thing is that you gotta keep at this consistently for at least 2 months. You can't go hardcore during the weekdays and then binge drink and binge eat every weekend...it just won't work. Go hardcore for a few weeks, you'll see amazing results, and the results will then motivate you to keep going. I got ripped for about maybe 5 or 6 months of hard work. I got decently cut and muscly after about 3 months. Everything failed when I got a girlfriend sad

^cosign on the consistency part... i didn't get overly cut, but i got pretty strong and big after 3 months of diet (slim fast shakes and most salmon at night) and lifting/cardio... lost at least 30lbs of fat... then i started going out more to bars which lead to the drinking/eating late (damn you gray's papaya)... but now ive calmed down with that and fixing up a new routine/diet

Look up HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

Only with a good diet and good cardio will you start losing weight which will lead to more abs showing. You can do a million situps a night and it wouldn't matter if you had a small pouch over your abs haha.

Good diet + excercise and you'll look better but most importantly feel better.

Motivation: My friend went through alot of depression issues and he has really bad acne. He went on a diet similiar to mine but he cut out all red meat. His face is clean as fuck now and he wakes up every morning feeling HAPPY he said. A healthy living style really affects everything.

he can drink weight gainer shakes. theyre healthy for you too so its fine.

Most of them are not healthy for you, they have tons of sugar and other processed ingredients.

If he's skinny he needs to eat. If he says he's eating, tell him to eat more. It's not that hard to fit in 4000 calories a day if you try hard enough.

Sorry I have to bring this old topic back, but maybe it can be relevant for Spring as well.

kidkorea, would you suggest a vegetarian diet to losing weight + getting abs?

Edit: And how about milk? Just a throw-out-there question; I've been drinking about half a gallon water everyday.

I just lost 5 pounds over the past 2 weeks. I started college this year and its been fucking up my routines. So I switched/fixed it up since I have a better schedule this semester. First I fixed up my diet and tried to stick to a strict diet plan for a week so I could get used to it. (Eating small meals frequently, eating good choices) I lift 2x a week and do cardio 4x a week. (Timed miles, uphill sprints, skipping rope for 30 minutes, 8 to 10 2-3 minute shadow boxing rounds) I didn't really lose much muscle so I'm just trying to cut all the fat that I gained after a year of doing nothing. 10-15 more pounds and I'll be pretty cut up again.

I usually hit the gym 3 times a week, but do cardio on wednesdays. I try to switch it up at the gym between arms, core, legs etc. And my cardio usually consits of running at a steady pace for about 30 minutes and then trying to pick it up faster for the last ten. I dont drink soda anymore because I was drinking it wayy too much, and I try to keep my eating habits as healthy as I can, sometimes I cant resist Chipotle though. No fast food, try to keep as much protein in and I drink 6 cups/bottles/glasses of water a day. I rarely ever have protein shakes but I want to start taking those.

I am considering taking a supplement called Tren (Trin spconfused my friend is on it and he has literally gained 25 lbs. of muscle. He was smaller to begin with though, I am about 185 right now and hope to lose more fat and replace with muscle. Anyone had experience with Tren products or MMA products I heard those are supposed to be really close, also TT40.

Eat late at night.

Trust me on this; it's how I got heavier over the fall/winter due to my not eating breakfast or lunch.
