do you ride with breaks? if so id say lose them. it forces you to man up and pull tricks cause you cant bail as easily. if that sounds ridiculous to you just go the normal way and start on smaller things til you build up enough courage to hit bigger and bigger shit. practice your fucking jet hops too!!!

im pretty sure most of the people in here arent riding a specific "branded" bike. alot of bmx is done by custom making your own bike. alot goes into it too so you might want to do some research though. youll need a frame, fork, bars, stem, grips, barends, headset, clamp, seat, seatpost, cranks, pedals, sprocket, chain, front and back tire/wheels, potentially brakes....im sure theres shit im forgetting but if thats too much to handle almost every company makes completes. id say that fit, animal, and sunday are all pretty good brands though

i just put on brakes recently because i was tired of stopping with my feet and i feel that i could bail just as easily with or without brakes. what are jet hops? and also, when i bunny hop the seat always hits my ass. i've seen photos of people tucking and the seat is always in front of their pelvis. anyone know why? maybe i just need to start stretching so my legs are more flexible? i cant touch my toes by the way.

Yeah I am thinking of buying custom parts, but it seems confusing to put together.

well if you're building a custom bmx bike then 600 will get you a frame, fork, handlebars, and a stem.

jet hops are the jumps you do when you 1st lift the front tire off the ground then the back tire. you can get alot more air...i dunno if thats a term just used around my area but ive heard it before as well.

and about the seat hitting your ass, do you have the seat all the way down on the post? try to maybe extend your arms a bit more forward also and keep your back on like a straight slant....its harder to explain that what im picturing lol sorry if thats no help dude

damn never really hear much about that bmx company. not a really popular brand i think. i tend to stay away from brands with no rep.

the rims? my friends run it and are fine. i cracked mine years ago when i had them. i'd go a little heavier and get the midway. i had it and it was pretty solid.
